"Seriously, this is epic." He was beyond thrilled to not only have this piece finished, but to find himself a decent tattoo artist that could match his vision in her work. Lauren was on par with his artist friends back in Portland, and that was saying something. He had no doubt he'd be here again for another tattoo, whenever he decided what it would be. The marina tattoo came first, and he hadn't thought beyond that. Maybe Calista or Roxy could take a picture of it for him so he could forward it to his parents. Just to rub it in their faces.
Quentin nodded. "Got it." It wasn't his first piece, after all, and he wasn't going to screw this one up for anything. The meaning behind this particular piece triumphed all of his others, even his first one, the dragon on his left forearm, and the sailboat on the back of his neck. "Trust me, I'm not going to do anything to ruin this one. Long story behind it." He was sure Lauren had heard that plenty before, but that was neither here nor there.
Taking the paperwork she handed over, Quentin folded it up and tucked into the folder containing his sketches. "Will do, but I think I'll be good. It was nice to meet you, and trust me, you'll see me again." With a wave and a smile, he headed out, eager to tell his family what new crazy thing he'd done now.
