Something had to be done
Who: Orion, Odin and Brenda
Where: SOHS barrier
When: late afternoon
The demon legionaries at the bridge bombing site. The strange hieroglyphics on the road signs. And now this. Orion had known that it was a completely different world that he and his family would be walking into, but this? Not even teenagers were safe on a night that most of them had looked forward to -- or at least, so the angel had assumed. Ever since the community had gone up in arms, Orion had been concerned. He'd stayed well enough away from the action, having been busy helping offset the hospital's influx of patients from this most recent rash of magic related injuries. Standing off to the side at the high school, the scene of the excitement, Orion had to admit that there was something deeply unsettling behind this. The magic didn't feel evil, and he knew that just by getting up close. There wasn't a demonic thread to the magic at all -- but that didn't mean it was any less powerful. He had his arms crossed over his chest, eyeing the school with an intense look. He was trying to puzzle it out in his head, and between himself and Odin, he was sure they'd come up with something.
They had to do what they could to help. It just worked out that way.
"What do you think?" He offered the question up softly, eyes glancing over at the form of his twin. He knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that his brother's mind would be racing just as far and fast as his own -- between the two of them, they were sure to work something out. "Prudence and sound judgement beg the full analysis of the situation before beginning to formulate a solution, but I almost feel as though we ought to just plunge forward into trying different spells. Do you think any other angels have tried holy magic on this confounding barrier?" It probably wouldn't work, but it was worth a shot. The list of spells that he might try wasn't a very long one, but there was also his Reading abilities to take into account. Something to save for later, after he'd exhausted his other options.
