The way his brother used Odin's favorite catchphrase on him had the angel narrow his eyes in mock-defiance. At some point he'd have to retaliate by inserting 'Word to the wise' somewhere in conversation; it wasn't a primary concern but dammit, it was a concern.
"Oh sure, you do it 'cause you're a reader. Uh-huh." Odin teased, inwardly thankful that, for whatever reason, Orion had brought a pocket mirror anyway. As for his twin's next question, Odin surveyed the area all around them thoughtfully, then looked back at Orion with a furrowed brow and a look of bewilderment. "Are you suggesting I purposefully hurt an officer of the law to distract the rest? What's this, one of Cels' video games?" Though he had to admit the idea could perhaps work, if - and only if - all else failed. "No, I'm going to look for a wider opening in the barrier and go through there. Some of them are bound to be exhausted and distracted." He decided.
The moment Orion touched the mirror and began to do his work Odin, too, was distracted, so he only noticed that something was not quite right when his brother was well grappled by whatever had taken hold of him. "O-Orion?" He called, worried. This was not like any reading he'd ever seen his twin perform; this was pure pain. Odin approached his brother, noticing the blood dripping from his hand, and tried ripping the mirror from his hand, to no avail. This did nothing, however, and Orion kept screaming. "Ori! Ori, my God, what's wrong with you?" He called, more urgently every time. Looking from the school to his brother then back Odin decided immediately that this had something to do with the barrier instead of the mirror.
Throwing cautious planning to the wind he marched in the barrier's direction, being promptly intercepted by two police officers about halfway there. "I am a century old angel my twin brother just tried his powers on that thing and is in some sort of painful trance and you will not hold me back from answers." He commanded, his voice all powerful and teeming with authority. The officers, confused, seemed to awkwardly shuffle aside to let him through and soon enough Odin was face to face with the area deemed the invisible barrier's limits. Immediately outstretching his hand the angel took a breath, ready to experience the insurmountable amounts of...nothing? He pulled away, looked at his hand, then touched the barrier again. Still nothing.
