Dr. Tanner, my dear Dr. Banks (Cheyenne and Lee, you too)...Welcome to Jurassic Park.
WHO: Lady Vi, Cheyenne, Lee, Keelin, dinosaurs
WHERE: Jurassic Park
WHEN: Party's Over O'Clock
The one and only time Violet had ever gotten involved in debauchery that led to her waking up in a strange place, she'd gotten pregnant. Of course, there was absolutely no concern that that would ever happen again, but the point was that Lady Vi did not enjoy waking up in dirt in a strange place. It triggered all sorts of unhappy memories that she really did not want to have to deal with. Now or ever again. Ever being the rest of her life. The rest of her life being now somewhat predicted to be considerably shorter considering the circumstances she and three other chaperones had found themselves in.
Holding her head with a gloved hand as she struggled to get up, Violet squeezed her eyes shut as she forced the pain to go away. She had a terrible headache, possibly from the fall, though it had all happened very slowly. Clearing her mind to try and remember what had just happened, a small fog stayed over Violet's memory. Something to do with the high school...and then...falling. Everyone fell, including her. Opening her eyes slowly, Violet had half-expected to wake up in the daylight. Instead, it was still dark around her, though that may have just been the thick canopy of...trees? And not the trees in Scarlet Oak, but jungle plants. Still sitting on the floor, Violet looked around. This was not anywhere she'd ever been to in Scarlet Oak. And that was when she'd noticed the other bodies. Three of them and she recognized them all, which was in and of itself a small miracle of sorts. She recognized the closest one as one of the history teachers. The woman. Banks. She also recognized their guidance counselor by the dress she was wearing. And the last person was the guy she'd come with. Violet had thought it strange that faculty would bring a date to a high school function for the kids, but whatever. She was way past the age of being all doe-eyed over some hunk but she supposed if she might have brought her husband at one point to save her from the boredom.
Trying to listen for air's voice, Violet had a hard time thinking over the fog in her brain. She needed to get up and get moving. And make sure the others weren't dead. She didn't want to have to figure all of this out by herself. Using a nearby plant for support - a plant she didn't recognize - she pulled herself up and wobbled over to the Banks woman and prodded her with her toe. "Banks. Banks. Wake up," she said loudly enough to wake the woman, but not so loud that every animal in the jungle could hear her. She still wasn't sure where they were and until her mind cleared up enough to understand what her element was trying to communicate to her, she wasn't taking any chances. "Banks." She poked the woman in a rib. Hard.
