While her spell was enough to slow the dinosaurs down, it was not enough to completely shake them. They needed a better, larger distraction that would get them to leave the base of the tree. While they were figuring that little hiccup out, Keelin supposed that it was good they had a destination in mind. If no one had caught a glimpse of that building, they could be running in the jungle only to be eaten by whatever else was hiding in the darkness. Somehow, she doubted velociraptors were the only thing this place contained. She hovered as near to Violet as she could while the vampires were consoling each other and thereby missed Lee's implication. "If we can get to that building, I'm sure we could find some supplies. Food, water, weapons..." she trailed off. Of course, a radio or some means to contact home would be just as welcome. Or maybe just a way back home in general. The longer she spent in this jungle, the more she was certain this was not some godawful dream.
"We can throw something," Keelin suggested when Lee asked for ideas. "Maybe if we get them going with smell and sound, they'll get confused and leave the tree." Without waiting for any feedback, she knelt down and unzipped her boots. If they were going to be sprinting in the woods, she needed to lose the sharp heels lest she might fall and break her neck. Or worse. She didn't really want to concentrate on the 'or worse' bit, so she slid the boots from her feet. "Here," she offered them to Lee. "Chuck them as hard as you can with whatever glamour you need to." The word felt odd as it rolled off her tongue. She still didn't understand what he meant by glamour besides the fact that it was some sort of illusion. The rest of what Lee said seemed like good sense; of course the glamour would require a good deal of strength and concentration. It was when he referred to his injuries and Cheyenne's and gave Keelin a look that she paused. At first, she wasn't sure what was behind those eyes of his, but then it clicked and her jaw dropped a bit in surprise.
A small part of her questioned why he was looking at her like that and not Violet, but it was immediately answered. She was the stronger, healthier of the two. If anyone could handle what that look implied, it was her. But this was... her blood. She was stunned for a full minute and it wasn't until Violet made her statement that she forced the wheels of her mind to start working again. The vampires were the strongest of the four of them and they were weakening as they lost blood. They could only regain their strength if they fed. Really, it made sense, but that didn't stop Keelin from being afraid. Her experience with vampires was minimal at best and she certainly had never been on the menu before. Raptors want to eat me, Vampires want to eat me... Guess I'm on the menu for good, now.
She locked eyes with Lee. "Fine," she didn't intend for her voice to sound so cool, but she supposed it didn't sound so harsh with the way it shook. She glanced over at Violet and then back at the vampire. "One of you have to carry her." And me. There was no way that she would be able to keep up with the vampires when they were stronger. Not to mention the fact that once she'd lost blood, she'd be much weaker than she was now.
