Lady Vi wasn't built for this type of situation. It wasn't like she'd ever been in a stressful situation before. She'd had a child and raised it to adulthood. That was enough for anyone to win a merit badge for handling stress. But she'd been born and raised in well-to-do families and although she had "married down," they were still perfectly comfortable. She'd never gotten into any major trouble (although getting pregnant out of wedlock had seemed MAJOR at the time) and she'd never gotten involved in anything illegal and dangerous. Violet couldn't exactly be considered average - in fact, she was quite exceptional - but she had still led a fairly quiet life after her short stint as an Olympic hopeful. This was incredibly strange and incredibly frightening and she wasn't sure she could handle this. Well, of course she could - and would - handle this but that still didn't mean she was happy about it.
"Holding up. You?" she responded when Keelin came closer. She held onto the branch as the other teacher scooted closer and the branch swayed a little. It seemed sturdy enough that they wouldn't have to worry about it breaking and them falling. Extending her arm, she accepted Keelin's hand and got herself into a more dignified position on the branch. Her own hand was beginning to throb slightly from the insect bite, though she knew better than to scratch it. "My bones and creaking and my joints are aching but if you tell my granddaughters, I'll have to kill you." Violet tried to be flippant about it but she really was hurting bad. Looking down, she tried to see what the vampires were up to and then she heard the woman counselor's primal yell.
It was all happening pretty fast and Violet felt terrible on some level for sitting this one out. It seemed like the vampires were handling themselves much better than she ever could. She could summon a storm, no problem, even if she'd not abused this power. Looking up at the canopy of trees, however, Lady Vi somehow doubted that she could summon a storm here. Even creating a breeze to help her up the tree had been an effort. The male vampire yelled something up at them about joining her and Banks in the tree. "Should we try and move higher?" Violet asked tentatively. "I don't suppose we're going to get any closer to getting out of here if we hide in this tree forever." Before she could get a response from Banks, however, the male vampire was launched into the tree and started trying to scramble up it one-handed. Summoning a breeze, Lady Vi used her powers to try and push him up. In his defense, he did try and save her.
