Labyrinth OOC

Hey guys! So, I made about a million and a half plans for this day change, and want to make sure I'm not forgetting anything. So, let me try to remember!

Alright, so, for your plotting consideration, I bring you Doctor Leonard 'Bones' McCoy, from the 2009 Star Trek Movie canon, not ToS canon. Uh, let's see. He's grumpy, drinks a bit too much, and if you get him in the right mood (drunk) he'll swear like a sailor. However, he is also a humanitarian and a very good doctor. He's still slightly phobic of space, though he's done his best to conquer that. And, of course, he is firmly wrapped around the little finger of his BFF, one James Tiberius Kirk. Although he's now smacking me for using the term 'BFF'.

Anyway, he needs plottiems, plz! He can heal you if you're injured, and, uh, sort of grump at you a lot. And he's going to be pretty weirded out by the giant board games around, and, of course, the completely primitive technology everywhere. I think he'll approve of that, actually.

Hello, lovelies!

Okay, so here's the deal. I've changed some of the rules. It's always a work in progress. So, because of the growth of the game and such, I'm changing the maximum number of characters a player can have to eight. However, anything over five requires pretty much constant activity from all your characters, so keep that in mind when deciding to go over five, and make sure you can handle it.

I've decided on a day where everyone sings everything, where everything is basically a giant musical. Some characters (Giselle, Legolas) will hardly notice a difference. Is there anyone who strongly objects to this? Let me know before next week, as I will be putting this into place at the next day change. Why, yes, Jareth is a sadistic asshole, why do you ask?

Right, so, lastly, the ball thread. Are people still posting in it? I think I'm going to put a closed/complete tag on it, however, if you wish to continue posting in it, go nuts! I just like to have things all pretty and completed and such.

Oh, I lied. One more thing. A few errors in the various sections of the mod journal have been pointed out to me. If you all could just go through and make sure all your characters have been added right, and all their information is correct, that would be amazing.

Alright, my lovelies. I have a strange request for plottings. I need a nightmare for Schuldig. Not his nightmare...he doesn't actually get them, per say...but someone else's nightmare. We're talking the night of Day Four/Early Morning of Day Five. What happens when Schuldig gets nightmare's is, it's started by someone else, he's experiencing the nightmare through their mind...and then his own mind twists it with his own experiences...for both participants.

The dreamer could, depending on the wishes of the mun, realize that there were elements that clearly did not come from their own mind, or go completely oblivious, it doesn't matter much.

I'd use one of my own pups, but Claudia sleeps during the day and Luna has no reason to get nightmares. :P

So, anyone up for a little plotting?

Hello, everyone!

Alright, so here's the deal. There really are quite a few unfinished threads right now, and I know that, for me, that makes it discouraging to start any new ones. I never want to get too bogged down, you know? So, because of this, we're going to have a two-week long day four. That way, we can hopefully wrap up the ball thread as well as a bunch of other threads. Also, I was going through the incomplete threads list and I noticed that there were a bunch that hadn't been posted in for awhile. Please make sure you're posting regularly, since it isn't fair to make people wait! If you're in a thread and someone hasn't posted for awhile, perhaps talk to them and ask if they forgot.

Okay, so in other news, since the ball plot is almost over, I'm looking at other things to do that could be interesting. One idea is to do group activities, where three people are paired up at random and forced to do an activity. These would not be option, however, if you really wouldn't want your characters to participate in something like that, I'm not going to force you. I'm looking at maybe day six and seven for these, and possibly eight, too. It's still very much in the works.

Long story at least a little shorter, just take this extra time to wrap up your old threads, and also post here with what you think about the group activities thing. As well, in a little bit, I'll probably be changing the look of the City of Illusions. There's a list in the mod journal of options, what do people think?

In case anyone is interested, in the ball thread, Yuna just summoned Anima to attack Jareth. Since that particular Aeon is huge and nasty, it's a fair bet to say everyone at the ball would have noticed. I just thought I'd point it out so people could react :-D

Greetings! Jen here with just a couple of housekeeping type things to say! First, thanks to all of you, we have had many new arrivals. This is good! The game has been growing faster than I thought it would, and that's amazing! However, I've noticed many of the new people haven't posted arrival posts or really anything for their characters. New people, please post intros! Less new people, please respond to them! Activity is the soul of any game. I'm going to start doing activity checks this weekend.

Alright, so onto my second thing. Is everyone done in the day one mass intro thread? If you still have an ongoing subthread there, let me know? Otherwise, I'll tag it complete. So, again, just let me know if you have a character still active in that thread.

Lastly, for now, is the masked ball that will be taking place. I'm decided that rather than doing it on day four, I will instead have Jareth send out 'invitations' on day four, and have the thread actually take place on day five. So, think about who your character would want to bring with them! It's a great chance for threading and awkward scenes of asking each other to the ball and such! More details about the ball at day change!

Jen here, bringing in her last character for now. As promised to many, I bring you Nymphadora Tonks of Harry Potter. She's friendly and vivacious, a lot of fun to be around, and really, really clumsy. She's being brought in pregnant, but doesn't know she is. Anyway, she'll make friends with nearly anyone except Snape so let's hear plotting ideas!

Also, this day change (Sunday) I will be bringing in Legolas Greenleaf from Lord of the Rings. He's pretty. *pets* Lastly, I'm bringing Yuna from Final Fantasy. I believe i have her greeting stuff worked out. But I do need plot for all of my characters, so have at 'em!

Hello, lovlies! Jen here with the first ever Into the Labyrinth mod post. Can I hear a Hallelujah and Amen? Anyway, let's just get to the update already, shall we? I really should do these earlier in the day, when I'm less tired!

Alright, so as we all know, and are all very excited about (Right, guys?) this game opens on Sunday morning. There are, at this exact moment, 16 characters coming in at once. This may be a bit much to handle, as far as greetings and things go. So, I was thinking to myself, "Well, self, Jareth can't welcome them all, can he?" But then I thought to myself again "Self, yes he can! If we do a big group thread. Jareth gives a big speech to everyone in a group thread in which everyone is invited to post." So, other than thinking I'm weird for talking to myself, anyone have any thoughts?

So here's what I'm proposing. On Sunday morning, I'll put up a thread that everyone may participate in. In fact, I think it would be best if everyone did participate. Jareth is going to be pulling all of your lovely characters at the same time, so even if you choose not to post in the thread, just act as if your character was there. Does that make sense? I just think it's the best way to get everyone into the mix. You can break out into subthreads in groups of two or three or whatever you want, really.

Okay, on to the second point of order. I was planning to do day changes on Fridays, but the game is starting on a Sunday. So, do we do a short first week? Or should I instead to day changes on Sunday? I'm really okay with either option.

Right, so that's the main business I had! Please post here and let me know what you think about both things! Thank you so much for joining this shiny new game, and I can't wait to play with all of you. We've really pulled together some amazing writers, and I'm excited for the game to start!

Hey all! I thought I'd start putting tentacles out there for anyone who is interested in plotting with Helena?

She's 18, a trained circus performer and a budding artist. She has travelled to dreamscape style lands once before, so is likely to just assume this is a similar situation. Eventually she will run the Labyrinth, and I'm pretty sure she will have issues with a certain royal highness, especially since he's snatched her just before she was finally getting her much saught after independance.

I'm assuming there will be an establishing post of her arrival in the outer city, and since HRH will probably be pretty popular, she'd be happy to 'bum around' with anyone and see where it goes.

Let me know your ideal plots, peeps!
