That brings up so many more questions, though Kamui can only manage to nod a little to show that he heard the answer, looking away, glad that his hair kind of covers his face a little when he bows down his head. And though certainly his feelings are hurt out of a familiar sense of bitterness, at least he manages to keep it out of his voice, just murmuring softly.]

[He can't help but feel bad for this, even though he could never wish he'd forgotten about Seishirou instead-- but he never wished to forget you, either, and the guilt he feels at remembering someone else (someone you obviously know, just as he said to know you, too) over his own brother is almost overwhelming.]

[He blinks rapidly, like trying to adjust to something, like doing that would maybe make him see what just happened. But there's nothing wrong, his hand looks just as it normally does, and he looks back to Kamui.]

Are you sure you saw right? It felt strange, but... it seems to be just fine. [But as soon as he says this, his hand, wrist and a part of his arm flicker away again, this time staying there but transparent, the sakura blossoms clearly visible through it.]

It's increasingly obvious to him that even if those memories are gone, even if he can't remember... there is still a part of him that remembers you, that reacts to you in ways that make their relationship so clear.]

[The smile is disarming, both because it feels like it has been far too long since he saw such an expression on his twin's face, but also because that was just often the way Subaru's smile left him; a little bit speechless despite it all. But Kamui nods, relieved for it also... swallowing a little to gather himself up, breathing out. His voice is a little softer again.]

[He doesn't fully realise the effect that has on Kamui, simply glad that it seems to remove some of that tension in him. But even so, this is yet another thing that feels strangely familiar to him... like it is something that has happened between them so many times before.]

Maybe I don't... but I want to. [Because even if you're his brother, even if you would do this regardless... that doesn't mean he can't be thankful for it.]
