Premise:
We are a small played-by roleplay community set in the developing city of Casa Grande, Arizona. Our group consists of an open-minded and diverse ensemble of writers with an even more varied cast of characters. The community allows a broad spectrum: from your everyday girl-next-door or high school jock to a Victoria's Secret employee or NBA star. Regardless, you must be realistic when devising your applicant. Our emphasis is on character development and we offer an opportunity to delve deep into that person you have always wanted to play without the distractions of supernatural talents or global collapse. Please read the rules beforehand! If your application is denied we will provide an explanation as to why. Any further questions can be posed through contacting the mods at 'the drop box'. We will be glad to answer your queries there.

The Grand Design is a supernatural RPG with a theological twist. War is blossoming between Heaven and Hell, and those on Earth, human and supernatural alike, are trapped in the crossfire. We feature the option to choose your own race rather than select from a list, as well as creating original and canon angels, demons, hybrids, and mortals. Heaven and Hell are real, defined places that characters are allowed to visit (characters are player even if they die) and can discover a richly-detailed universe with full lore. One may even pray to God or Satan. You never know... you may be answered.

Fifty years after the world’s first superpowered battles, the Superpowered Americans Registration Act is going strong, rounding up those with these gifts and setting them to work for their country and fellow citizens. Department 74, centered in Wayland City, stands as a testament of heroic accomplishment -- and of civil rights abuse. The men and women worshipped as ‘heroes’ are little more than prisoners, soldiers trained to give all they have to fight crime, or to suffer the consequences of desertion.

But the crime syndicate Apex rules these streets, and they have powers of their own -- both super, and mundane -- and they have no intention of going down without a fight. Behind a corporate mask, they strike from the shadows, building their own army with the same mantra: join us, or die.

And for those willing to take that chance? The heroes outside of the law, and the villains out for their own ends? Every day is a battle. A game of cat and mouse where the rodent is sorely outnumbered, outgunned, and out of luck. Still. Better to die free, than as a puppeted coward.

[info]dominomods is an Original-character Superhero roleplaying game, taking the idea of heroes and villains and exploring the theme of an extended civil war and its effect on the populace. The themes of freedom, safety, peace and conflict, the opposing forces of light and dark, and the idea of what measures are called for in times of war will all be questioned, examined, and turned on their head. In the end, the work of the characters involved and the ends to which they are willing to go, are the only things that will decide the world’s ultimate fate.
