In 2001, a scientist named Richard Augen came across an amazing discovery - there were people in the world who could do extraordinary things. He passed his knowledge on and soon the world began to fear these special people. Five years later, he developed a virus called "The Cure" that would remove people's powers. He didn't force it upon anyone though and many of said people stepped up and recieved it in the form of a vaccine. It's now 2010 and a new medicine has just been released by some of the people who previously worked with him. They're calling it "The Diadem Experiment". This medicine is taken in the form of a small red gel-like pill and the taker gains an ability for a certain time. It's said though, that ones with an ability already have either had their ability completely changed, altered, or enhanced. What will it do for you? | ||

The receiving room lights, a hot white halogen array, greet you when you wake up. The room is small, with only some dated medical monitoring equipment, a metal gurney, a cylindrical security camera, and a locker beside the door. All of it was a sterile white once upon a time, but has been aged with mildew and mold. You are covered in a hospital gown and nothing else. That's alright, your clothing is waiting for you in the locker with a yellowed envelope on top of it. Inside is a letter printed on old perforated printer paper with the side tabs still attached.
Once you exit the room with your belongings, the door locks. There will be no way to return to that room, and there is no sign of a way out. |
