In 2001, a scientist named Richard Augen came across an amazing discovery - there were people in the world who could do extraordinary things. He passed his knowledge on and soon the world began to fear these special people.

Five years later, he developed a virus called "The Cure" that would remove people's powers. He didn't force it upon anyone though and many of said people stepped up and recieved it in the form of a vaccine.

It's now 2010 and a new medicine has just been released by some of the people who previously worked with him. They're calling it "The Diadem Experiment". This medicine is taken in the form of a small red gel-like pill and the taker gains an ability for a certain time. It's said though, that ones with an ability already have either had their ability completely changed, altered, or enhanced.
