Present day Aiode Falls, Maine is home to many residents from all over the globe. And Universe. The little college town is growing, and becoming home to more and more people all the time. Some of them have no idea how they came to arrive, and some can never go home. As the University gets darker with new arrivals harboring less than happy intentions, so does the city. It is now home to metahumans, vampires, humans, demons, ghosts, aliens and even celestial beings. All of them with defined morals (or none, for that matter) and each with an allegiance. Those without a chosen allegiance are considered fair game, as both sides subconsciously prepare.

There is a constant battle for good and evil in this town, and only one side can prevail.

"New Orleans is a city like no other. It's one swollen, humid, titanic creature with two legs, two arms, a face, and all the parish boiling within its blood.

We're living in its arms and have no choice but to return the embrace."

Some will die in hot pursuit...

The damned shall walk shoulder to shoulder with the innocent, and soon the night air won't be the only chill they find in embracement.

Some will want to learn...

While some will notice the thickness in the air and seek the reasons out, others will remain contently oblivious to what's happening all about.
And some will fall in love...

The future is unclear in this sweltering city as to what your fate shall be.So count your stars and hold your breath, put your veins up to the test as you learn to live and die through Phlebotomy

When Cordelia Chase unknowingly said those fateful words to the vengeance demon, the result was nothing like she had expected. She got what she wanted--Buffy Summers had never come--but that one change had made the town Cordelia once knew a very terrifying place. The Master now ruled Sunnydale and vampires ran free through the town knowing that there was no one brave enough or powerful enough to stop them. The only people who bothered to try were unable to conceal the problem without the strength of the Slayer.

Cordelia tried to convince people that she came from a Sunnydale that was much better and that they needed to get Buffy to come, but no one believed her. She died without anyone knowing how to fix the problem. That was in 1998. Years have now passed. The year is 2010. It's even more frightening than before. Vampires far outnumber the citizens of the town and before long, the town will likely be entirely made up of vampires and other demons. Unless something changes.

No one knew how it happened, but suddenly, people from other places started to arrive. Some were normal humans going on with their lives before arriving here and others are any number of other beings. The vampires know of a Chosen One who is a danger to them if she ever does arrive. Because of this, any newcomers are watched very closely and targeted. Anyone who could be a threat to their free reign over Sunnydale must be destroyed. Now if the Slayer really does arrive, there's a good chance that she will be from an entirely different version of the town, very possibly the same one Cordelia had come from. Will she be prepared for this sort of challenge? Will she be able to keep these people safe? Will she be able to find a way to get people back to their own times and places?

Be Careful What You Wish For.

Dark Wish is a new Panfandom game with a dark theme. We are looking for dedicated and talented writers to enter Buffy's world and try their hand at survival. A Modern Noir RPG

Needed Characters:

The Congressman, The Mayor, the Commissioner, Cops, Firemen, Citizens, Criminals, and Many More!

Chicago. The third largest city in America. An ideal Midwestern city, on the outset. On the inside its much more complex. Something deep. An animal, an urban machine breathing with its own mind body and soul, its spirit lingering on and grappling onto its inhabitants choking the life out of them. Infusing them with new life. An urban metropolis full of wonders, sights and sounds. Blaring jazz trumpets drowned out by loud subways and the roaring engines of garbage trucks, the masses moving under the shadow of gigantic industrial buildings over-looking the city like Greek Gods admiring their sentient creations. Yes, friends. this is life. This is the city. The soul of a city. Its beating mechanical concrete heart.

Whether you call it the Chi, Chi-town. Chi-City, Chicago land, The Second City, or The City Of The Big Shoulders, one thing you can't deny is its influence and power in the world. One of the most large and thriving, vibrant cities in the good ole' U.S. of A. A beacon for commerce, entertainment, industry, economic expansion, politics and culture. It is all of these, and more. A multicultural melting pot, an entertainment playground and an industry juggernaut seemingly unstoppable by all accounts attracting scores of newcomers to its shores year after year. Chicago is life, electricity pulsating through the streets.

Internal demons manifest in all of us, whether we try to walk the righteous path or bury ourselves in sin. This isn't an urban jungle. It's a Concrete Labyrinth. Drug deals get made, and lives get put in the balance. The daily grind of bodies filling every medical center in the city pushes its weight on the minds and hearts of every last 'healer' the city has left. Labor Unions and Newspapers straddle with changing times, the loss of promised dreams and the birth of a new age.

All everyday reality. The thing is: how do you stop the monster in your life? You fight. You push through. You give all your blood sweat and tears and push yourself beyond the limit...till there's nothing left...Except you and the world.

Whether you're a politician, a drug dealer, a crime boss, a dock worker, a nurse, a journalist, a reporter or a schoolteacher....we all make sacrifices, and we all have to choose our path wisely. We're all running our own 'hustle' in life. Life's the biggest game of all. The question is....how hard will you push your hustle?

The game goes by different rules, but the intention, and the end result, is the same. You fall, or you stand up on top. Question is, will you be willing to play the game...without any rules? This is a story of corruption, greed, faith, identity, strength, madness, revenge, success, failure, lust, love, hate, justice, fear and glory. Welcome to the true American city. Welcome to the game. Either you win...or you lose.

Forgotten Gods

[info]forgotten_mods
[info]insane_games
What happens to the old gods, once their temples have crumbled and their believers have abandoned them? Do they die, forsaken, alone? Or do they remain, still wandering the world, immortal, surviving off what little belief they can gather?

Forgotten Gods follows the lives of these old deities, brought to America long ago by explorers or immigrants from their homelands and eventually abandoned or lost from memory. As their worshippers moved on to new religions, the gods' powers waned - for a god, at its most pure essence, is no more than an idea, and an idea is worthless if there is nobody to believe in it. Some have passed, forgotten, from the world, while others have fallen into madness. Some have simply tried to adapt, to make a life for themselves in this place without gods, getting by on what little scraps of worship and belief they can garner. Others are more radical, attempting to regain the power that was once theirs, to revive their followings.

And then there are the New Gods. Gods of cars and computers, television and radio, cities and highways, all those things that modern Americans put their faith in. They are young, at the height of their power. These newcomers are regarded dismissively by some of the older gods, who have seen so many new deities rise and fall in their time; jealously by others, who wish to reclaim the power for their own; and by all with a deep wariness.

Inspired by the world of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, this game invites players to step into the roles of deities, old and new, to create their own modern mythology.
