Welcome to Eventide, a small town on the outskirts of the state of New York. Eventide is a peaceful sort of place, full of family houses, cozy apartments, pubs where they show Sunday night football, parks, and good schools. Oh! And it also happens to be the location of Imperial, a clever little second hand shop owned by a kind old woman named Matilda Craft. At least until poor old Matilda disappeared in the February of 2008….

Things haven’t exactly been the same in Eventide since Matilda’s disappearance caused Imperial to close down. Strange occurrences have been going on in Eventide, sometimes general and sometimes to individual people. There have been claims about unusual wild life being glimpsed in the neighborhoods. The strangest thing of all is the strange invitations that have been sent to the homes of certain individuals.

THE TRUTH;
Matilda Craft was no regular old shopkeeper. She was a witch; And in the world known as The Craftlands she was known as Lady Daltima, The Craft Queen. Since the beginning of time The Craft Lands have existed; an unknown realm separated from the Earth we know, where magic and spells and mythical creatures really exist. Since its beginning The Craftlands have been ruled by The Craft King or Queen. And now it is time for a new ruler.

Somehow Matilda has sent out invitations to select individuals of our realm, inviting them to compete for the chance to become the next Craft King or Queen. But these Candidate’s jobs will not only be struggling to obtain this position, but they are also the only ones who can recapture the wild Spells and strange creatures that have been escaping The Craftlands into Earth. Only they can still the trouble and violence that has been brewing in The Craftlands.

Congratulations; You have been nominated as a Craft Candidate.
Her Majesty, Queen Daltima of the Craftlands, formally invites you to the town of
Eventide, New York and the shop Imperial, where your destiny waits for you . . .

Deep within the Canopus System lies the planet, Soter, a world strangely similar to Earth that was abandoned long ago by its original inhabitants. Placed on the black market, the planet was eventually purchased by a eccentric man known only as The Collector. He spent many years restoring the planet's greatest city, Colligo, to its former glory and many intergalactic entrepreneurs believed he intended to turn Colligo into one of the greatest vacation destinations the known galaxy had ever seen.

They were wrong.

Instead, Colligo became The Collector's display case for his personal collection of people. During the time he spent restoring Colligo, he also began selecting worthy specimens to start his collection with and others to be added to it later. These unfortunate people, after having been grabbed from their respective planets, times, and realities, awaken within the Colligo's Grand Library, a massive building filled with books whose pages are blank, devoid of pictures or words. They are unaware of where they are or how they got there and are soon ushered out into the city by guards dressed in medieval armor. No matter what abilities the new addition possesses, fighting the guards is impossible - as is leaving Colligo.

You, unfortunately, have caught The Collector's eye and have been added to his collection. You're faced with two choices: learn to live in this city or die trying to escape it. The choice is yours.

Colligo is a panfandom game set in an original world. We are het/slash/femme friendly and welcome any fandom out there. The Collector wants you.

NO SUCH PLACE: An Original Fantasy Role-Playing Game

[info]insane_games

“ . . . All that was left in Pandora’s box was hope.”

During the 21st century, a global pandemic swept over the world. They dubbed it the “Pandora virus,” or PV for short, because of its devastating nature. The virus tore through the world’s population. It killed almost one-third of humanity in its first month alone. Countries everywhere grew panicked, believing it to be a work of biological terrorism. Nation stood against nation, and a worldwide war began. Much of earth was laid to waste within just a handful of months by the combined effects of nuclear war and the Pandora virus. Survivors immune to the virus found the world uninhabitable, and many of them perished due to radiation poisoning or famine.

There were other creatures who inhabited this planet along with human beings, though. They had just been in hiding for many centuries. Praeternaturals, they were called. Legendary beings and creatures believed to be nothing more than myth. They were also biologically immune to the Pandora virus. With the foresight of the oracle Euryale, groups of praeternaturals learned of what was to come and prepared for the preordained onslaught. They had built safe havens protected by magic in hidden areas across the world. Taking in as many humans and praeternaturals alike as they could before the war, these communities provided a stable living environment for the survival of all species.

One such safe haven is an ancient land once inhabited by elves, abandoned by them long ago, and renovated into a sanctuary. They call it Elysium. Located in the modern-day Republic of Macedonia near Lake Ohrid, it was once a part of Greece. Now, it is a part of the process to one day rebuild the world.

Game Objective.
No Such Place is an original fantasy role-playing game that was established in December 2007. We are a friendly game of many players, not just many characters! NSP actively incorporates game-wide plots that affect all players, but we strongly encourage individual plots among players as well. The world itself is completely interactive and reactive. Whether you prefer action, drama, romance, or horror — this game allows you to play all and pick your favorite to explore. Your objective is to create your own story. However, beware the setting. Everything affects everything, and like a domino effect, No Such Place will affect every character and player with things beyond their control.

Go ahead, take refuge in the land of Elysium. We promise you'll be safe.

What happens to the old gods, once their temples have crumbled and their believers have abandoned them? Do they die, forsaken, alone? Or do they remain, still wandering the world, immortal, surviving off what little belief they can gather?

Forgotten Gods follows the lives of these old deities, brought to America long ago by explorers or immigrants from their homelands and eventually abandoned or lost from memory. As their worshippers moved on to new religions, the gods' powers waned - for a god, at its most pure essence, is no more than an idea, and an idea is worthless if there is nobody to believe in it. Some have passed, forgotten, from the world, while others have fallen into madness. Some have simply tried to adapt, to make a life for themselves in this place without gods, getting by on what little scraps of worship and belief they can garner. Others are more radical, attempting to regain the power that was once theirs, to revive their followings.

And then there are the New Gods. Gods of cars and computers, television and radio, cities and highways, all those things that modern Americans put their faith in. They are young, at the height of their power. These newcomers are regarded dismissively by some of the older gods, who have seen so many new deities rise and fall in their time; jealously by others, who wish to reclaim the power for their own; and by all with a deep wariness.

Inspired by the world of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, this game invites players to step into the roles of deities, old and new, to create their own modern mythology.

Now celebrating our one-year anniversary!

SIT-COMICAL: as seen on tv

In a suburban community in a nameless city in a nameless state, people wake up every morning with their hair perfectly combed. They sometimes drink from empty cups. They deliver witty one-liners. Every problem they ever have can be resolved in 30 minutes, or in a very special one-hour episode. Everyone who lives in this community is a sit-com character reborn. They are not aware of this, of course. There is no laugh track playing in the background of their days, no mood music and no set lighting. For these people, the world around them, their neighbors, and their selves are as real as anything. But we know better. We have seen them in prime time. We'd know them anywhere.

Sit-Comical is an RPG where you reinvent a sit-com character and place him or her in this unusual, but mostly reality-based suburban world. All human, non-magical characters are welcome, and though you must stick to the essence of the original sit-com character, much of these characters will become your own creation. The game is scheduled to open on June 1st, but this date may change depending on the level of interest. For more information, please follow the links below.
