Who: Thomas Newcliffe's Guests & the servants (and their guests) What: Dinner and social When: 5 pm Nov 2nd Where: Newcliffe's Estate Status: IC/OOC Everyone who is anyone is expected at Newcliffe's tonight. And boasting the pianist Jan Jarmoskowski, as well as a star-studded guest list means Newcliffe can except a reasonable turnout. Guests can begin arriving to socialize at about five, and have two hours to partake in h'orderves and some of the classic local wines and beverages. Novi Grad is know for the Tămâioasă Românească grape and the honey-like flowery bouquet wine that it produces. Dinner will be served promptly at seven o'clock: Ciorbă de urechiuşe (wild mushroom sour soup) Macrou afumat (smoked mackerel fillet) Vinete umplute (stuffed eggplant) Ghiveci cǎlugăresc (vegetable stew prepared by the nuns in the monasteries) Papanași, Amandine, Lapte de pasăre (all dessert) Afterwards the party will divide with the men going to the smoking room and the women retiring for tea. At nine, the two groups will reconnect and remain together for dancing and Jarmoskowski's concert. About nine o'clock is also when the party downstairs in the servant's quarters will start up. There is enough to eat and drink that it'll be far too easy to over indulge, but no matter. There are plenty of guest rooms if anyone decides they're unable to make the journey home. [OOC:] This is meant to provide an opportunity for initial meeting and interactions so characters can develop additional relationships outside of the destiny that is their literary future. |
