WHO: Ty and Zach
WHEN: February 15, 2020 ; afternoon
WHERE: near a guard tower
WHAT: superhero powers, activate!
RATING: medium for Ty's mouth
Ty had just gotten off-shift at the infirmary, and he was feeling restless and antsy for some reason, so instead of going to crash either at Bea's or at his cell, he was taking a walk. At least the fucking twitches under his skin had gone away a few days ago, because he'd been beginning to think that he might lose his mind if he had to endure that for much longer. He could take a lot, but it had been unrelenting and unexplained, and those factors tended to make anything more difficult to handle.
He was aware that some people were saying they could do some very interesting things, and one guy had posted that he couldn't and had wanted to know who else was in the same boat. Ty wasn't much for the mystical, weird and wonky, and he wasn't positive he believed some of the stories that were going around. He might have to see it for himself, honestly. Because how could that even be possible?
Looking up the word skeptic in the dictionary just might yield Ty's picture; he'd have to stop by the library and see.
Ty had been walking for a few minutes, enjoying the fresh air, when he approached a guard tower and saw that somebody had dumped a large quantity of trash next to it. Squinting, he saw what looked like cardboard boxes, plastic bags, plastic jugs and several other unidentifiable things. "Fucking slob," he mumbled, finding himself unreasonably irritated. This place worked if everyone pulled their load, and the guard tower wasn't the fucking dump.
As Ty glowered, trying to decide what to do and not wanting to haul ass all the way to one of the supply closet to find a garbage bag or two, suddenly the mass of stuff exploded outward, shattering into pieces. It was amazing how much better Ty felt once that had happened, but it took him a few moments to put together that he had somehow done it. "What?" he muttered. Looking around, he saw a fist-sized rock to one side of the path, and he stared at it, thinking about what he'd just done. He concentrated until the rock shattered into pebbles.
