Well, at least he wasn’t someone Zach was going to have to keep an eye on when it came to dealing with him in the infirmary. He already had a couple of wild cards, he didn’t need another. “Good to know,” he answered with a shrug. The infirmary might not technically be his, but in many ways he ran the place, so little bits of information like that helped him to know what kind of a medic he was dealing with.
“Probably not any worse then the ones that already explode,” Zach remarked, having heard about that kind, but he didn’t have any first hand experience with them – at least not with the exploding. “Yeah, I suppose it would.” Although he didn’t know very many people who moved around without a weapon on them now, having a weapon on your person was almost as common as wearing a wristwatch now. “Oh yeah, which one?” There were too many hotheads on Security for him to go guessing which one Ty knew.
Somehow he should have expected the quizzical look, but he still felt a bit like and idiot when Ty asked him how he couldn’t be sure. “Honestly, the more I think about it the more it was probably an ability,” he began. “Had this kid in the infirmary complaining about knee pain, and the next thing I know my knee hurts like hell and the kid is saying his is okay.” Yeah, even to his own ears that sounded insane. But considering Ty had just blown up a pile of trash, maybe it wasn’t as insane as Zach thought it was. “Not like I’ve got anything else to do,” he said with a shrug as he followed the other man towards the supply area. “And it’s not like anyone else is going to come along and clean up the mess.” Alright, maybe someone would, but their maintenance crew was short staffed as it was, so it wouldn’t hurt to give them a hand.
