Ty wasn't unaware that Zach considered himself in charge. He wasn't an MD like Talia, but he'd been around for a while and had gotten accustomed to making the place run smoothly. He couldn't have said he objected to that. Ty himself was a natural leader, but he'd had to let some of that slip away when he hadn't been able to successfully defend his safehouse and also hadn't found a way to set up another. Letting go of the reins and working behind the scenes wasn't a bad thing, necessarily.
Ty smirked just thinking of his very opinionated and sometimes strident friend. "Bea Albrecht," he answered. Most likely, everyone in the place at least knew who Bea was, and he didn't imagine Zach was any different.
He couldn't help but feel a touch of envy when Zach described what had happened with his patient. "That'd be a hell of an ability to have," he said. "For a medic." It wouldn't necessarily be so great to have to take on their pain, but as far as the healing arts went, it was hard to beat. "How long did yours hurt?" he inquired, curious about that part of it. They walked along, and he chuckled ruefully to Zach's next words. "Yeah, I know, no point in holding our breath for it." It just went against Ty's grain to leave a colossal mess like that, whether he'd made it or not, and he was responsible for part of it.
