RP: Arrival - Marlene and Open
Who: Marlene McKinnon
When: Early Afternoon - April 21st.
Where: Glanmore Peakes' Corridor - Second Floor
What: Just arrived
I'm going to be late, she thought as the Knight Bus came to a screeching halt. It was just a matter now of how late, and how bothered her mother and father would be when she came tumbling into their home. At least I'm dressed for the party, she thought with a smile, glancing at her new dress, smoothing it out with her hands, before breaking into a half run. Her shoes she carried in her hands, still wearing her less lovely working shoes.
Hurrying long she made her way up the walkway to her family home and kicked off her shoes. She grabbed at the door handle and with a slight hop began pulling on her heels as she opened the door and stumbled inside. It took a moment for it to sink in, and she blinked several times in disbelief. It wasn't her parent's home, instead she was..in Hogwarts? "What's all this now?" she blurted in confusion. There was no chance now she would be reasonably late, now she was doomed to be painfully late.
She recognized where she was immediately, although not somewhere she usually found herself during school. Making her way down the hallway she peeked around, glancing at the showcases of various beasts on display. "Hello?" she called out as she drummed her fingers on the showcases as she passed by. "Anyone?" she called out, "Hello?"
Making her way along she stopped to stand in front of the portrait of Glanmore Peakes. She could always ask Peakes, she figured. What did she have to lose?
"Peakes, be a good chap. I don't suppose you'd mind telling me what's going on here?" She asked and watched as he nervously glanced around before edging out of his portrait. Marlene placed her hands on her hips, with a small huff. "That's awfully rude," she exclaimed stopping her foot. Now where to go and what to do. There didn't seem to be anyone around to ask. What a mess, she thought.
