Peter smiled at her antics. They were familiar, so very familiar that they left a bitter taste in his mouth. "I think you'll be late. about fifty seven years late in fact." He wondered how you went about to tell people that everything they knew was gone and they were in a not-so-bright future with Hogwarts pulling the strings.
"Look, I know this is going to sound bonkers, and I'm sure there's some fancy way to tell people but you're stuck with me." Where was Remus when you needed him? He would have done a much better job. "All right so, the Ministry experimented with something stupid, because there weren't enough children. As a result, everyone died because the spell became an ailment, like dragon pox, only more lethal and a lot more contagious. That was in 2028. As far as we can tell by 2030 everyone was dead."
He put his hands in his pockets as he told a story that sounded mad even to him. "We're now in 2038. Hogwarts apparently got lonely and is bringing people back from the past. No one knows why or how, or why some people and not others, but yeah you missed the party by almost six decades."
