How Wude! [May 19, 1999 ] (tag: Zelos)
Kratos was silent as they left the theater. Around him, he could hear the buzz of conversation, but he didn't speak himself. There were a number of thoughts rolling through his brain, they had been since about half an hour into the movie, but he kept them inside his mind for the moment. Because he hadn't been the only one to see the thing, and he didn't want to taint things for the god that had come with him.
It was a tradition. Since the first movie came out in 1977. They'd seen every one of them since, at the earliest premiere possible. For a couple of them, they'd even camped out to get in earlier than the rest of the crowd, though Kratos got the impression that his brother didn't really like that as much as he did. Kray loved the camaraderie of the events, but for this one, they'd shown up later and just waited in line. The excitement had still been there though, as it had for each of the first three they'd gone to.
He loved the stories, the play of good against evil, the philosophy of following a higher path. He was pretty sure Zee just liked the dog fights in space. But his brother went with him to each one, just as eager as he was, even if he didn't show it in the same way. Zelos liked to play it cool, but after so long, Kray knew his brother too well for him to completely hide the fact that he had a great time watching the Star Wars saga too. So when they'd heard this new movie was coming out, a prequel to set up the trilogy, there had been no question that they'd attend.
And they had.
And they'd seen.
And now here they were.
Kratos was actually starting to feel just a little unwell from swallowing his opinion and keeping it to himself, but he wanted to know what Zee thought before voicing his own thoughts. He didn't want to color his brother's perceptions of the film if they happened to be different from his. Maybe Zelos saw things differently than he did. Maybe he'd gotten a different impression of the plot line. Maybe he understood some of the things that were confusing the shit out of Kratos. Because of all those maybes, there was a lot of caution in his voice as he finally spoke.
“So...”
