“That midi-chlorian shit was just crap,” Zelos said. He had to agree with his brother. Lucas had screwed up his own canon. “Jedi makes more sense as a religion. This born with this stuff in you is just wrong. Only a select few would be able to be Jedi. It should be something anyone can achieve.”
It was all such crap. The problem was that Lucas had no competition. There was no one that had ever made a science fiction movie on the scale of the original Star Wars trilogy. Lucas had no real rival. Even Speilberg was more of a friend than a rival. If there was one thing Zee knew, it was that without fear of someone doing better than you were, you get cocky. And it is your work that suffers.
“How can you say Darth Maul wasn’t cool?” Zee wanted to get Kray to settle down a bit. Mortals were starting to stare. “I know he was evil and the bad guy. He did deserve to die, but you have to admit. That double-bladed lightsaber was awesome.” It was a very interesting addition to the weapons of the series. “I was a little disappointed that it was cut in half and still worked. I guess the Jedi know exactly where to cut so they wouldn’t hit any of the working components.”
Zee really did not like seeing his brother look so disappointed. He needed to do something to make certain the rest of these movies weren’t such crap. He would talk with the Muses, see if they could inspire Lucas a bit. While he might just go see that new fellow in New Zealand. Zee was pretty sure he could make that Jackson guy a good rival for Lucas’ crown for epic movie trilogies.
