Kratos gave his brother a Look. Sometimes, it concerned him a bit how drawn Zelos was to the darker characters in these movies, but then he reminded himself that his older sibling was made of sterner stuff and knew right from wrong. And they worked for right. They always worked for right.
Still, Darth Maul? Kray said, “Darth Maul was an agent of evil, he was not cool. The fight scenes were though. Except I don't understand what happened with that last one. It's like he just paused, and let it happen. I keep trying to figure out if it's supposed to be some kind of homage to what Obiwan did in his fight with Vader, but it doesn't work. Because Maul gave in to the dark side, so his motivations would be different. So he just stopped fighting for what reason? Because it was in the script? That was irritating.”
He frowned. “Really irritating because the fighting was the only good part of the movie. Even the pod race sucked. It should have been an exciting element to the movie, but Lucas is too in love with his new CGI toys. And how very responsible to put a child in a race that could be deadly just from the pods and other racers, not to mention Tuscan raiders get to shoot at them. Great Jedi values there.
“And what is with the whole midi-chlorian bullshit?” The question burst out of his mouth with volume and force, because it was one of his biggest complaints about the movie. And there were many. “They just changed being a Jedi from a religion to being science. If it's science, then why didn't they mention that in the first three movies? Why is Vader mocked for his antiquated 'religion?' Lucas just completely fucked up his own canon, and it's like how dare people have faith in anything anymore!”
Kratos wasn't even aware that given his size, volume, and expression, he was starting to cause people to make a wide berth around both him and his brother. If he had been, he'd have felt bad about it, but in the moment he was just mad. He felt as though something precious had been taken away from him and stomped on with golf shoes.
