Hi all, I'm Crystal, bringing in Irene Lovelace, Ebonhide senior:

-Before Gooseberry, she was a Horned Serpent at Ilvermorny.

-She's a total Potions nerd, and likes to experiment with potions outside of class.

-Irene is a middle child and feels the need to be special, manifesting in trying her best to stand out. Granted, she's always been on the quirky side, but she has a tendency to play it up. It's most visible in her wacky sense of style, which sometimes looks cute and other times looks like a mess.

-She's curious and enthusiastic, and would rather be thought of as weird than not noticed at all.

She needs friends, enemies, people she knew at Ilvermorny, all the plot!

	heyyy ! c: i'm kay & i've only got zoey for the moment. i think she and irene could have an interesting relationship! z was almost sorted into ebonhide, so she's got some shared tendencies, and is ALSO super into potions -- which could either equal a beautiful friendship, or maybe a rivalry of sorts, friendly or otherwise. :u (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Hey Crystal! Welcome to the game!!! I'm Meggie, one of the mods, and I've got three characters here.

Diego Morales is a senior Azurcrest and hipster musician, and he and Irene have a few classes in common. He's very friendly and is a staple of the party scene. It's very likely he has or will flirt with Irene. He's also pretty terrible at Potions because he sucks at instructions.

Reid Wainwright is a junior Coppertale, who proooobably won't talk to Irene too much. He's unfriendly and cold, but the reason for it is mostly that he's awkward and inarticulate. He went to Ilvermorny, where he was even more antisocial than he is at Gooseberry, but he was over in Thunderbird.

Calvin Evercreech is a sophomore Ribbonfin, and he's at least in choir with Irene. Calvin's a Hogwarts exchange student and former Slytherin, and he's... a handful. He's articulate and smart, but whiny and unpleasant. Back at Hogwarts he was a terrible bully, now he's at the bottom of the food chain, and has mellowed out a lot.

I think Irene would be at least friendly-ish with Diego, given some of their shared interests. If he flirted with her in the past, it may have gone over her head. I was thinking maybe she'd be a former member of his band, but quit some time last year because she didn't have the time for it anymore?

Reid probably isn't on her radar, aside from recognizing him from Ilvermorny. She'd know who he is, but probably not much more.

Irene might think Calvin is kind of annoying, but would mostly ignore his antics unless they came into direct conflict.

Hey Crystal! I'm Madeline and I've got two here :)

So this girl here is Sybilla Borgin, some people call her Sylla, and she's an Ebonhide junior on loan from Hogwarts. This is her second year at Gooseberry, where people don't know her family's shady reputation or any of her seven siblings, so she can sympathize with the middle child plight very well, even if they probably don't know it. She's intense and has creepy weird interests that she doesn't quite realize aren't normal after growing up as the daughter of a Borgin and a Burke, but she's sweet and polite and talkative about the things she likes. She'll be hanging around, so maybe friends? If anything, Sylla loves Irene's vintage clothes, even if she doesn't realize they're vintage because all the Borgin kids are old fashioned and previously secluded from modern things :p

And then there's Holden Bright -

blinkah - junior Ribbonfin and Quidditch seeker, practically muggle kid from south Boston, really only here for Quidditch. He's too shy for the social standing that being a good Quidditch player brings, but is the team/house doormat that can easily be persuaded and talked and forced into things. He's too shy to act on it, but he definitely thinks Irene is cute.

I think Irene and Sybilla could definitely be friends. Irene wouldn't be too weirded out by most of her interests, and might ask her more about it. She likes Greek mythology and Shakespeare, so they have that in common. She'd appreciate Sybilla's sense of style, as well.

I see that Holden is in Gaming Club, so Irene would know him from there. They also both went to Ilvermorny, but since they were in different houses and grades, she probably didn't know him too well back then. She'd be friendly to him. If she ever knew he thought she was cute, she'd be really flattered, and thinks he's cute, too.

HELLO CRYSTAL, welcome to the game!!! So glad you could join us. C:

So, EXCITINGLY Irene is Mina's roommate!!! Mina gets competitive with almost everyone she meets, and definitely with the girls sharing her dorm. But Irene seems pretty cool, like not too much of an overachiever that Mina would be horribly threatened, and also has a kind personality? Plus they share Choir and Drama. Maybe they could be friends??? Mina can be a difficult person, but as a friend she'll dole out tough love while also being really steadfast and loyal when you need support.

Ravi is a Ribbonfin but has known Irene for a long time—he was a fellow Horned Serpent, and now they're both into LARP and have potions-related senior projects, so they should totally spend some time puzzling over their recipes. (Ravi is not a potions prodigy, so he'd really appreciate the help!) Also since Irene is the only other senior in LARP (so far), maybe it would be fun to say they've played a LARP romance or two? Ravi is strict about ~not dating OOC~, but would find it fun to play out those kinds of storylines with a friend.

Aaaand lastly there's Sy, my shitty Coppertale jock. He and Irene probably don't cross paths a whole ton, but I'm sure if they do, Sy will say something obnoxious and/or flirtatious to her. She's a hugeass nerd, but she's kind of cute!

Irene and Mina could definitely be friends! She'll *try* to get Mina to simmer down and relax a little more often.

Irene would be happy to help Ravi with his project! And I'm down for having them played a couple of LARP romances.

She doesn't like Sy at all, but I don't think she'd have run into him too much yet, so she probably hasn't had any direct issues with him, she just thinks he's a douche.

Hi Crystal! Sorry for the late reply, I've been super busy and I'm only just catching up! I'm Josie and I have two characters here:

Pippa Nightingale (short bio here) is also into potions although since she's a vegan she prefers potions that are plant-based, for obvious reasons. Pippa is also curious and enthusiastic so despite the age/house difference I think these two would probably get on well if they got chatting.

Henrietta Gray (short bio here) knows Irene since they share a few classes, but they don't have many interests in common so I'm thinking they're not super close or anything.

Since I’m even later in getting back to you, it’s all good. :)

I think Irene and Pippa could get along great. Irene would love to hear about Pippa’s potion work- she’s all about thinking outside the box and trying new ways of doing things.

Yeah, Irene probably doesn't know Henrietta too well outside of classes, but there's always the potential for randomness down the line!

CRYSTAL CRYSTAL HI :D It's Emily!

Sorry for the late reply, I'm a scatterbrain as usual and just realized I still never said hi! I have two characters here, Faye who is a Coppertale senior and also went to Ilvermorny -- she was in Wampus, and while they've had classes together I don't get the impression they're hugely in the same circles? Faye is very loud and athletic, she's kind of basically like a Texan Meaghan.

My other is Bailey Hartman, Ebonhide junior. She is Canadian and grew up on a bison ranch. She's more comfortable around animals than most people but they'll at least be in the same house! She was homeschooled before Gooseberry, though, and is kind of awkward with it.

I'm so happy you're still playing Charlotte (even as non-Charlotte) though I don't know if ours will be interacting... but there's always random stuff and seeing what happens, of course. :)

	I think the fact that I took so long to reply back balances it all out. :P Anyway, yeah, Irene and Faye probably “sort of” know each other, but that would probably be it. Since Bailey is in her house, she might know her a little better, though. She’ll be friendly but will try to respect her space. Random stuff is always good! :) (Reply to this) (Parent)
