hi everyone
i'm kay & i've got one lil baby so far, Zoey Valentine.

She issss:

-A Ribbonfin Senior & Chaser on the Quidditch team
-Bass Player for The Holy Rosicrucians. "Arty."
-Ridiculously good at Potions, an all-around gifted student
-Experiencing some Burnout after years of chronic overachieving, but ~Responsibility~ and ~Familial Expectations~ rear their ugly heads to stop her from just playing & flying & having fun all the time
-Very not-so-secretly into Divination, which she got into as a distraction from her "real" work & ended up falling in love with
-A bit of a weirdo

Here's a lil personality blurb because this is the part I'm bad at: "Calm, loyal, curious. Somewhat airy and detached. Goes-with-the-flow toward either recklessness or complacency, depending on the situation. A lil bit rebellious. Intelligent." y'know. kinda does her own thing, but down for whatever.

ANYWAY
My only real plot for her so far is being part of the band & such. Ideas:

-Anyone else from Hellebore? She played Quodpot there. Also kissed a teammate, which was probably highly scandalous at the time. Alllllllso got caught on the Quodpot Pitch with alcohol in eighth grade (she's gotten a little better at keeping secrets and sneaking around since this time in her life ok)
-Ribbonfins yayyyy. Esp seniors -- what's it been like these past four years?
-Academic rivals and/or buddies?
-Quidditch stuff
-Crushes, awkward past romantic encountersss. Zoey hasn't done much serious dating, but you know how it go
-Kids she may have otherwise grown up with as someone with a parent involved with MACUSA
-Art stuff?? (Zoey has an Officlal Senior Project related to potions, and a personal one she likes better that's more up this alley)

YAY ZOEY! Welcome to the game! We talked a little already, but I'm Meggie, one of the mods! I have three characters here.

Diego Morales, 7th year Azurcrest, is most relevant to Zoey! She's one of his beloved bandmates! Diego adores Zoey, thinks she's super deep and smart. Does not get the divination thing but will listen to her talk about it. He's a music prodigy of sorts, but... sucks pretty bad at potions. He'll be looking to Zoey for help a lot. Uh, the two of them seem to have barely an ounce of self-control between them SO THAT'LL BE FUN. Maybe when they were younger they could have had a romantic entanglement but are now just friends? Or they could have dodged that altogether!

Then I have Reid Wainwright, a year below her and in Coppertale. He's unfriendly and icy on the surface, and under that... a lot of the same, but mostly he's just awkward and terrible at expressing himself. He's lazy and eccentric, but mostly hangs out with the jocks and Coppertales. I'm not sure if he and Zoey will know one another terribly well, but let me know if you have any ideas!

Aaaand Calvin Evercreech is a Sophomore Ribbonfin. He's unpleasant, mean-spirited, whiny, and very, very smart. Although Calvin has the Ribbonfin gift of gab, he's otherwise at odds with a lot of his housemates. He used to be a bully back at Hogwarts, but now he's considered certifiably uncool. Last year he tried to be top dog, and was really mean to people, including his housemates. Now he's a lot more mellow, but still has those sharp edges. He's a former Slytherin, and has that die hard house loyalty for Ribbonfin, which mostly means he's afraid all his new green housemates are going to get taken advantage of.

i'm super excited for all this, ngl. everything's so pretty and organized and well thought out ♥

diegoooooooooo. zoey adores him right back, even if she's in an awkward place rooming with his ex & all of that. :/ (why man? why?) anyway, yess! absolutely all the potions help. i get the feeling that he's probably behind half of Z's shenanigans, and then + her willingness to go along and it's just a messss. :U i'm open to a romantic entanglement! maybe they were initially kinda into eachother, but then realized they were better off just friends? and also ~Think of the Music~ Think of our Art~

i'm sure she and reid have bumped into eachother here and there. :s quidditch stuff, both chasers.

oh no calvin ;-; Z probably tolerates him at least somewhat, even if that means just waving hello once in a while or idly asking about various subjects they have in common. it's hard to get under her skin, and if he's calmed it down a little bit that's likely good enough for her.

HE'S SO SORRY ZOEY. Both for creating all the drama in your dorm, and also for dragging you into all kinds of ridiculous shenanigans. They'll be fun shenanigans, though, I promise! And yeah, that sounds good! The music has to come first~~~

Yes, for sure! Reid will be a new chaser this year (he was a really frustrating Seeker before this) so I think he'll be a little nervous about the people who have been Chaser since forever.

Calvin probably does like Zoey! If she's been nice in the past, he's probably a lot less defensive than he can be around certain people. Ribbonfins are just so nice, he can't maintain that level of suspicion against them. 8(

	yesss !! :D z doesn't blame himmmm. ribbonfin girls are the best. ♥ omg a really frustrating seeker ;-; got some things to prooove i love the idea of a slytherin trying to figure out this House, like. so much. it makes sense, but it's also like -- different versions of a similar trait, and navigating a new culture, and ugh. Hi Kay, welcome to the game! I'm Josie and I have two characters here.

First up is Pippa Nightingale (this journal) who's new at Gooseberry this year having transferred from Hogwarts. She's in Zoey's house and she's a bit of a Potions whiz herself, but she kind of hates it because she's vegan, and Potions... is not. :| She'd look up to Zoey and think she's ~super cool~

Secondly I have Henrietta Gray (

unregrettable) and ahhh I'm excited for these two to interact! Because! Not only are they in the same year and both on their respective Quidditch teams, but I think they went to the same middle school??? This is so weird because I just made Hellebore up BUT if Zoey went there then YESSS ALL THE CONNECTIONS. Because Henrietta was on the junior league quodpot team too! Aaaand I think I ended up cutting it from her app BUT she kissed her first girls there. (Not having a lot of options, what with it being an all-girls school, lol.) Soooooo if you wanted Zoey's teammate fling to be Het then I am SO UP FOR THAT. But either way I think they should be friends! :)

aghhh pippa is so cute! zoey would 1000% be into studying together and getting nerdy about stuff -- trying to figure out new ways of doing things or modifying existing recipes is kinda her jam! orrr... it was, before she started feeling less excited about everything ;-; she's probably also kinda curious about the whole vegan thing.

AHHHH yes i saw Hellebore on the resources page and was like well okay this sounds like a fun/interesting background kinda thing. :u and noww i'm esp happy i did! also totally down for it being het. do you think it's like a yes-we're-friends-remember-that-one-time-haha or something they don't talk about much/kinda wanna forget happened? in zoey's background i have it as a kind of awkward thing -- like nothing really ever came of it, her teammate didn't really acknowledge it happened afterward, it was confusing. but i can change that around fr sure!

That would be awesome! We'll have to find a way to make this happen in game. :D And Pippa is always up for answering questions about veganism as long as the person asking is respectful, which it sounds like Zoey would be.

Ohhhh I see! That's cool. Het doesn't regret anything so I don't think she'd be awkward about it with Zoe. She wouldn't pretend it hadn't happened -- but, being Henrietta, maybe she kissed someone else shortly afterwards and Zoe was confused because she thought their kiss had ~meant~ something?

HELLO KAY WELCOME TO THE GAME :))) I'm Marin, the other mod, and I'm excited to see more Ribbonfin seniors...

...because I have one here, Ravinder! Ravi is a prefect, very responsible and straight-laced, but he's friendly and outgoing and would find Zoey really interesting, being more rebellious and unconventional than him. I would love for them to be friends? (Also he's from New Jersey and also has close British family, although his family is all muggles. Zoey and Ravi probably get picked up from the same NY bus stop every year. c:)

Sylvester (

stokers) is a rival Chaser for Coppertale, so she's gotten to witness him being a dirty player on the pitch and then obnoxiously hitting on her off the pitch. :/ If you're more detached and go with the flow, you might be able to deal with Sy, since he does dial down the aggression when people don't challenge him. I do not have much for plot, but flirting with Zoey this year is definitely in the cards.

Mina (

resentfully) is an Ebonhide senior and probably no fan of Zoey, if Zoey is close to her stepbrother Diego. Mina can hold petty irrational grudges like no one else, so she's probably been able to carry this dislike all the way to senior year, BUT Mina is also in Animagus Studies and a big Transfig buff. It might be possible for Mina to thaw a little if Zoey ever shows interest in that, but becoming an Animagus probably won't be for awhile down the line. :|a

ravi is the cutest. ♥ zoey thinks so too! i definitely see them getting along & the bus image is completely adorbs. c: z's probably dropped by LARP once in a while to say hello and ... cheer him on? watch? totally out her element there. maybe they've even visited eachother sometimes during summer hols? (probably awkward, lol).

i have nooo idea what she'd think of sylvester. she's probably not a super fun or competitive rival, yeah -- she mostly only cares about what her team thinks/how well she's working with them/seeing progress in that kinda vein. so yknow. maybe they do get along in a weird way. we shall see ♥

minaa makes me smile. and zoeyyyyyyyyy doesn't do well with confrontation/grudgey stuff. i imagine she probably stays out of mina's way as much as possible if it's a totally obvious thing (since she does love diego) :u buuut she totally gets the intensity-about-your-passion & would probably admire mina's effort/tenacity, so there is indeed that! the possibilitiess

Hi Kay! I'm Madeline, and I've got two here, one of which is your team seeker!

So first up and the most important is Holden Bright -

blinkah, Ribbonfin junior and the most shy jock ever. He's the house/team doormat and just wants to avoid drama at all costs, which means he throws himself into things so he doesn't cause problems, with varying levels of success. He definitely has a crush on Zooey, but can't avoid that as much, since team and all. He's a good guy, even if he doesn't have much of a backbone.

And this girl here is Sybilla Borgin, but you can call her Sylla - Hogwarts exchange student and daughter of the infamous Borgin & Burke (next generation, still pretty shady). She's sweet and polite but has her weird creepy morbid interests, and loves dueling and watching violent Quidditch matches. Maybe not so much there but she's around :)

aww. i think holden & z will definitely get along -- she might even stick up for him a il bit when it comes to team stuff, if/when things come up. they have scholarly dads and irish-americanness in common, too! ♥ alsoo he has nothing to worry about: she's not always super observant of crushy type feelings, and if she has noticed she's probably nice about it! maybe even a little encouraging/teasing.

alsooo i love sybilla's concept :d ♥ zoey finds her secretly fascinating and has some overlapping interests, but not to the same extent.

	Hi Kay, I'm Kas! I've got Kurt Wolfhart: Ribbonfin junior and Shy Dude At Large. They might know each other from MACUSA stuff since his dad works Muggle Relations (maybe MR & IR have to work together sometimes?? relations are hard.) & then Ribbonfin, of course, but not extra-circulars.
