Who: Alyssa Higurashi and Karl Whedon Industrial Warfare
Where: The Secret Room in Mike's Garage
When: BACKDATED to Sunday, midmorning.
Warnings: Violence. Scantily dressed women. ...and more violence.
The outfit she was wearing didn't leave much room for a gun, and that made Alyssa feel more naked than the amount of skin showing. A little over a month of undercover work had all boiled down to this -- one dingy little meeting with two horrible little men, their security teams, and the 'entertainment.'
Thugs 1-3 were placed at strategic points throughout building, standing off with their parallel thugs from one Antonio Salvatore - finally, his name, finally, the chance to get the evidence to put him away for good. But Alyssa was hoping for more than evidence. She wanted proof positive of where he'd been keeping the children. It was too much to hope for in a normal meeting, maybe, but she'd been working as hard as she could to plant doubt into 'her boss's' mind. There wasn't much she could do, coming into it in a position of so little influence, but she had done all she could.
Now all she needed to do was wait and make sure the special additions on her outfit got all the clear coverage needed. A little pin stuck on her belt held a microphone which digitally transmitted everything said to the mobile station outside, where it was being recorded. The small communication device in her ear would let her receive communication -- Morse Code would be her best bet for getting through to them outside, but she'd worked out a simple system with Karl -- three taps 'go,' two taps 'stop.'
She refused to entertain the thought that he'd rushed in twice before and seemed to be perfectly capable of doing it again. He had to want to nail these bastards as badly as she did. And if he was still set on this 'rescuing her' thing -- well, she just wouldn't give him a reason. This didn't have to be dangerous.
