I see little necessity for a judge or barrister here and as such, I'm interested in aiding in the formation of a Ministry, under the legal division or otherwise.

Truly; I confess, I am unsure what employment to seek here myself, for I do not think we have need of a king. But I thank you for the generous words. It is good to meet you as well, Caradoc. Yours is the world organized into factions, yes? And it is true, both the number of our company and the frequency with which people are received here and sent home makes it difficult to keep track of everyone.

No, I imagine we don't need a king, but perhaps you'd be suited to something in the Ministry as well. It appears that we'll have a set of shops soon enough, making it possible to work in an established store or create one of your own. Yes, my world is split into factions. A tracking system would be very nice now that you mention it.

Volunteering to help with the Ministry is my intention, but I intend to look into other options as well in case it proves others are more suited for the needs of modern government. I am not sure what I would do at a shop of my own, but assisting in someone else's business would seem an alternative. Yes, I think that establishing a census of some form would be a high priority for the new Ministry. Now that we're no longer living in blocks I expect it may become harder to keep track of new arrivals or departures, particularly for those who chose to live on their own.

That's a reasonable plan. Having varying perspectives will prove more useful than trying to recreate any one exact system given the sheer number of different worlds and structures we have thus far. I'm unsure what sort of business I would look into myself. I agree, it's certainly more difficult and a census is a wonderful start. Once we start to settle in more permanently and get the stores running, we'll need new maps as well.

Yes. Particularly given our mix of residents, between those who use magic and who do not; I know that from my own experience I can attest to both the best and worst possibilities of a mixed society, and it seems in the majority of worlds the Scientists draw from that has been a source of conflict in the past. I do not know if their rules against violence will still be in effect here, but regardless I think the highest priority of whatever form government we establish ensuring that we do not end up fighting the same old wars among ourselves, whether from high motives or the desire for vengeance.

But, yes, maps would also be most helpful in helping us all settle in, particularly if we continue to receive new arrivals from other worlds.

Avoiding the same wars will make it even more necessary to have all types of experiences, governments, philosophies, and so on. My world alone has our society broken into five distinct philosophies with separate governments that work with each other, until a war of our begins. What I've witnessed is a hunger for power as we have a mixed community as well. I agree that we should address these issues early on.

There is plenty to be done. I'm rather excited.
