that time again!

Alright, guys! The check-in period has passed, which means that it's that time again: happily adding some new characters and sadly dropping some characters who failed to check in.

First, the happy!

Alie is bringing us Daddy Caracatus Lestrange!
Kaitlin is bringing us Celeste Lestrange!
Kat is bringing us Auror Rufus Scrimgeour!
and Chantal is bringing us Paul Zeller!

Now, the sad.

Moz is once again leaving us, as is her character Betty.
Darcy is not leaving us, as she still has McGonagall, but her character Georgina is being dropped.

So! Please swing by the friending button and run it for all your characters!

Hello Everyone! Kaitlin here with my second character, Celeste Lestrange! Celeste is a bit of a pedant, prone to long rambling about purism and philosophy and whatever catches her interest that week. She's a die-hard purist and will not hesitate to tell you why that is so. Anyone who is even a little familiar with her will know that about her, so she probably doesn't have many non-purist friends, unfortunately. She was a Slytherin from 1971-1978, and was a Prefect her last few years. She is still working at the Ministry but kind of hates her job, seeing as she mostly applied for it in a fit of late-teenage rebellion.

Her full bio can be found here, where you can read all about her!

So! Friends, enemies, classmates, family members, etc.?

As always, I can be reached at KNJB11 or [info]greyskyeyes!

Hi! Chantal here with character #3: Paul Zeller, Claude's son and Amalie's brother. Paul is 23 and was a Gryffindor in 1967-1974, same year as Gideon and Rabastan. He's a magical veterinarian with a specialisation in horses and horse-like magical creatures. He was an overactive boy who got in detention a lot until his mother died when he was in 3rd year. Her death changed him a lot and he's never forgiven his dad, whom he blames for it. They are estranged now.

Paul is closer to a (liberal) purist than a Muggle-lover, but that doesn't mean that he approves Voldemort, oh no! He has a very black and white view of the world; in his opinion, vigilantees are just as wrong as Death Eaters, for both think themselves above the law in order to promote/protect their ideas and their society. He's a firm supporter of the Ministry.

Let's see, what else? He is rubbish on a broom, to his despair. He left his father's house as soon as he got out of Hogwarts, but he couldn't afford his flat on his trainee's salary, so he got a second job as Knight Bus driver. Which meant that he had no social life at all throughout his training, sadly. He's been out of training for... hum, a year and a half or so, now.

His full bio is here. He already has his father and sister in game, a client in Bellatrix, and he is friend with Mina and Gideon, but I'd definitely like more friends and ex-girlfriends (please!), so hit me up with plot and such. :)

Intro!

Hello! Alie here with character #4, Caracatus Lestrange. :D

So. Caracatus went to school with Tom Riddle (1939 - 1945), was prefect in his 7th year following Voldie's appointment to Head Boy, and has been a promoter of his Lord's Cause ever since. He's currently a member of the DL's inner-circle, and is mentor to his heir, Rodolphus, as well as to Augustus Rookwood, Walden Macnair and Alecto Carrow. His mother was sickly and died when he was very young, and his father never remarried, so Caracatus is an only child who regularly had the ideals of purism literally beaten into him. He employed similar methods in raising his own kiddos (Rodolphus, Rabastan and Celeste), though considerably less so with his little girl. All the same, he is one of those men, who believes that men should be men and women should be women, and holds a considerable amount of contempt for those that try to do a "man's work." That includes female Death Eaters. He thinks you should take off your masks, go put on your dresses, join some charity committee and then go make some beautiful pureblood babies.

Anything else about him can be found in his profile, here! Friends, enemies, fellow Death Eaters, CHILDREN: HIT ME UP.

(Also, did I mention that he is The Irons? Feel free to sing 'Be Prepared' to yourself as background music to every post he's involved with :p)

just a note!

All right guys, a question just came up regarding birthplaces, and I wanted to share my response with the game on a whole, since everyone's supposed to be getting me their information (including birthplaces) on their characters for the IDs.

The question was regarding whether a character might have been born in St. Mungo's. Given that all played characters in the game were born (at the latest) in early-60s wizarding UK, it's generally assumed that the majority of the pureblood and probably most of the half-blood characters were born in their homes with midwives attending. Only the muggleborns or half-bloods who grew up more muggle than wizarding would likely be born in a local (muggle) hospital, but even then it's likely that some of them were born at home with attending midwives. St. Mungo's does not have a maternity ward; babies would only be born there (or in a local clinic) if there is something drastically wrong with the mum or baby (premature birth, a history of miscarriages, a difficult pregnancy, etc).

Therefore, it is highly likely that your character's birthplace would be wherever their parents happened to be living at the time. If you put "London, England" as your character's birthplace, intending it to mean they were born in St. Mungo's, please go back and re-comment to your original comment (here or here) and let me know if it needs to be changed.

Also! If you haven't commented for your characters, or you've gotten new characters since you've commented, please be sure to get me the information asap! I'd like to be able to link to them all tomorrow. :)

G'day all! Kat here bringing you the awesome Rufus Scrimgeour. (Okay, it's possible I'm a little biased here but hey, he's Rufus Scrimgeour, he's an Auror, one day he's going to be the Head Auror and Minister of Magic and his PB is Daniel Craig.... how could he be anything but awesome!)

So... Rufus is the youngest of two brothers (and he's quite pleased that his brother is married and has kids because it gets his parents off his back) and an Auror. He's also a bit of a ladies man but he's what you might call serially monogamous. He is very much the lawman and Ministry man even though he knows it's not perfect and there are problems but he feels that if you aren't prepared to abide by the law and work to solve the problems from within then you are one of the problems.

So needless to say, he doesn't like vigilante groups of any description, whether they're the Death Eaters or the Order. In his opinion they're all amateurs and they likely to get good people killed with their interfering because they don't have the training to handle the situations they get themselves into.

He's a very loyal man and if he decides you're worth his loyalty, it'll be there until you prove you're not worth it... and this runs true whether he likes you or not. He doesn't see how liking has anything to do with loyalty.

You can find out more about him here so... friend/enemies/frenemies/colleagues/ex-girlfriends (he'd have a few)? Let me know!
