ohai!

Guess what, guys!

Mommy is feeling much better (after spending three days in bed, eating bland, tasteless food, sucking down OJ like it's goin' outta style, and taking enough varied cold meds to knock out a horse), so she's back! :D Thank you to Dawn for passing along my hiatus message. ♥

I've been vaguely keeping up with the game (or, well. skimming my friendspage) while I've been sick, but I'll be going back and really looking now.

Thanks for not burning the game down while I've been sick! ♥

regarding the ball!

Okay, so. Thanks to continued bothering in the forms of Moody, Mr McK, and also Crouch the elder (both of whom went to talk to Rump once the Minister stopped listening to the reasoning of Moody), Rump finally left it to the DMLE to assign the Aurors and Hitwizards for security as they deem necessary.

Mr McK took it out of Crouch's hands (for the Aurors, at least), and because he's damned well smarter than Rump, he actually LISTENS to his men (and women, but especially Moody), and just about every damned Auror (plus the 2nd & 3rd year trainees) will be assigned a position and shift throughout the day and night of the Ball (yes, that includes there being some there during the set up during the day). All Aurors (except those who are left to do general patrol-type stuff ... can't put the ENTIRE force in one place at one time, that's just bloody stupid ... but we can pretend if you'd like that the ones who aren't at the ball are NPCs!) are expected to be at the Ball with their eyes peeled (Moody can take over from here with his bellows of CONSTANT VIGILANCE), even when they're not "on duty" (you're an Auror, you're always on duty, etc etc).

As for the hitwizards, that stuff is left to Crouch Sr, and there will be hitwizards on duty at the Ball, as well (again, not all of them ... your entire force in one place? yeah right).

Also, the Ball is in five weeks (+ 1 day), so my question to you guys is ... when do we want to start plotting and logging? Or, I suppose the more appropriate phrasing: how far in advance is too far?
