Okay, so this afternoon the Order of the Phoenix was going to the The Black Castle for a practice session followed by a Quidditch match.

Hey there! It's Whit, with what I hope is my sixth and FINAL character (oh God!). This is Mina Alderton, aka Nora Alderton's older and not-so-famous sister. She's a Hufflepuff, class of 1972, so characters around their mid-twenties? Probably know her! Or at least, you might.

See, Mina's quiet. Really, really quiet. She's not really shy so much as careful with how she behaves around people, especially considering that her family's a bunch of Quidditch fanatics and she's sorta... not athletic at ALL. (But she loves watching her sister's games!) She hates loudness and messes, and while she's not gung-ho enough to be considered an actual purist... well, she's none too impressed with Muggle things, and let's leave it at that. She's pretty non-confrontational about it, though. In fact, by most accounts, Mina's a very nice, bookish, domestic sort. She likes baking and photography and staying home and reading and ignoring the war. Your characters probably know her as either: a) the bored-looking receptionist at Arkie Alderton's Kwik-Repair Shop, or b) the opera singer at various rich-people benefits and events.

Yes, Mina's a singer, and a very, very good one. She's a soprano, actually, tending to favor either opera or old wizarding tunes from the 30s or 40s, depending upon her mood. While Mina doesn't think it's an appropriate talent to make a career out of, she is a popular candidate for various hoity-toity salons and the like, so if your character's thrown a ball/party/benefit sort of event... chances are they probably have asked Mina to sing. She's a Halfblood, but she behaves herself well amongst society, and she even sorta thinks like some of them, to a point. Conservative? Yup. Rooting for the Death Eaters? Not really. Just a social elitist none-too-fond of Muggly things. People are fine, though. She's not going to hate on Muggleborns unless they're crude or demeaning, but she will secretly pity them for their "shortcomings".
