Find the Horcruxes (ooc)

Brandi's done everything but the acceptance comments (which she'll get on when she gets back from whatever it is she was doing this afternoon), and she said I could go on and intro if I want. SO HERE IT IS!

Ladies and Gentleman, meet Calypso "Cally" Bones. Here's what you need to know about her right away:

- Gryffindor 1954-1961, Prefect, mezzo soprano in the Choir, Chair of the Art Society
- married to Auror Edgar Bones, and mother to Evander, Penelope, and Noah
- Proper Pureblood girl who went to Proper Pureblood events as a child and a young woman; Elphias Doge is her father. So she's been involved with those people, for all that her family is by and large more progressive than some of the others.
- has a sassy sense of humor, a quick wit, a tendency to get impatient, and a stubborn streak a mile wide.
- and as far as anyone knows, her only occupation is raising her kids, cooking fabulous dinners (because she LOVES to cook), and doing volunteer work with her favorite causes: The WSPCA (Wizarding Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), the DMLE's Family Support group (which is primarily charged with aiding the families of Aurors and Hitwizards who are killed or severely injured in the line of duty), Ladies League (an organization of witches who aid the less fortunate and have tea), and Education Outreach (an organization of wizarding families that both acts as support for early childhood and grammar school years education, and also does fundraising and aid for poor children who may need help with supplies and such for Hogwarts)

The Big Thing that everybody DOESN'T know:
- Cally's actually spending a lot of her free time writing bestselling romance novels! Her publisher actually just got a journal for her pen name, Mellisande Devereaux (mellisande). So in addition to regular ordinary real life postings from Cally, you may also see postings from Mellisande Devereaux about how much she hates the phrase "turgid member" and the process of writing her latest book.


SO! Cally needs friends! Cally needs fans! Cally needs enemies, frenemies, and acquaintances! LET'S DO THINGS!

HIIIIIIIII GUYS! Dawn here. Sixth character. It took me all of what? Five seconds to pounce on the sixth characters? LOVE THE GAME, what can I say?

I bring to you, Morgan MacDougal. Currently, she lives with her seven-times great grandfather over at Caer Dubh in Scotland and keeps his hours, even. She's a night-shift Mediwitch so anyone with after hours injuries (future or past) would likely know her. She's a member of the Order of the Phoenix, and will be standing by next week to help anyone who needs Healing. Alice got her into the Order, and Brandi and I are still working out the details on that.

At any rate, she likes to make sure she's heard, curses like a sailor, drinks like a fish, and hangs around with vampires. She's BFF with her brother Madog (*puppy dog eyes*), loves her family to death. Some of you might know her nephew Peadar. He just finished school a few months ago (was in the same House with Greta & Addie) so feel free to ask if they're relations, or we can work out some history. Bring it on. Anyway. Morgan's fairly easy-going and doesn't like to talk too much about SERIOUS STUFFS since there's more serious stuff going on in the world than she can count (or would count). Unless, of course, she's at an Order meeting, than she's pretty pissed off all the time.

HI GUYS, DID YOU MISS MOMMY? MOMMY MISSED YOU ALL. Thank you for not mutinying or setting the game on fire or blowing it up or anything. Mommy is very proud of you and might have a present coming in the near future (check the September calendar once I get it done and up ... ;D).

So, as you can see from Kate and Dawn's intros, adds were done this morning (because I found myself spending more time staring blankly at the screen last night than actually ... adding), bringing in (drumroll please) SIX NEW CHARACTERS. Please to swing by the friend-add button and get them all added, while we welcome the following new characters, several of which were the result of the recently-increased-by-one character limit. I'm bringing in my sixth character, Amata Carpenter (aka Grizel Hurtz, the Agony Aunt); Dawn is bringing in her sixth character, Morgan MacDougal (mediwitch and part-vampire extraordinaire); Jamie is bringing in her sixth character, Effie McKinnon (newly-minted starting seeker for the Montrose Magpies); and Kate is bringing in her sixth character, Calypso Bones (aka Mellisande Devereaux, romance novelist). And then in the not-six-characters(-yet) corner, we have Natasha with character number five in the form of PETER PETTIGREW (we finally have all four Marauders!) and Sabrina with character number two (and we should have been more specific with the whole not-allowed thing for her, ahem), Patrice Nott (adding to our quota of Hot Death Eaters).

Sadly, along with the six new characters, we are also losing one: Ashley and her Arthur Weasley have left us, so if you have a burning desire to play everyone's favourite ginger muggle-afficionado, he's open and I'm sure his wife and in-laws would love to see him back around.

Hey guys! :D This is Brandi, here with character number six! And no, I didn't get her completely done in three days while on vacation, I'd already started her in anticipation of knocking off one of my other characters soon-ish, but since you guys all guilted me into upping the character limit, I can go ahead and bring her in now!

This here is Amata Carpenter. Yes, she was named after the character in The Fountain of Fair Fortune. Yes, she hates her name. The vast majority of people call her AJ; the only people who call her Amata probably do so out of teasing or mocking. A very small number of people (her brother, a few super-close friends) call her "Mouse," which was a childhood nickname. And nobody knows that Amata is actually also Grizel Hurtz, the Agony Aunt of the Daily Prophet. The only person still alive who knows about this is the DP editor, and it's a stipulation of her contract that he not spill the beans. The column has been in the Prophet since around early-mid 1962, so Grizel is something of a household name nowadays (like Ask Abby for the wizarding crowd!).

Random things about Amata:
- Ravenclaw class of 54 - 61. Prefect.
- She likes snakes. She has three as pets. She doesn't understand why people would hate them.
- She's a bit cynical, though she tries not to let her cynicism melt into Grizel's advice too much. Though readers would have noticed a lot of cynicism around mid-late March 1973, due to Amata being all upset over her parents being murdered by Death Eaters.
- She has ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE taste in men. Seriously, she always seems to be drawn to the assholes and the ones who are just plain Not Good For Her. And she says that hindsight if 20/20, because she can never see how bad things are when she's in the relationships, it's always after the fact that she's all "BLOODY HELL THAT WAS A MISTAKE WHY THE FUCK DID I DATE HIM?!"
- Good at giving advice (or, well, she wouldn't have a job). REALLY REALLY BAD about taking it.
- If you mention that her name is the same as that character from that tale by that person, (or if you mention the tale, or the person), expect to get your face bitten off. She LOATHES Amata / The Fountain of Fair Fortune / The Tales of Beedle the Bard.
- She wants a baby. REALLY REALLY wants a baby. Her biological clock just WILL NOT SHUT UP. It doesn't help that her BFF is happily married with three kids (thanks, Cally). But at the same time, she thinks that babies smell and are messy and noisy. So if she can have one that isn't smelly or messy or noisy, that'd be great.
- She likes to read. A lot. Her nose was constantly buried in various books at Hogwarts, and she'll read just about anything that's found between two covers and has writing on it. She's also generally neat and tidy and a bit OCD about it at times.
