Guys guys guys, guess what! It's Cat!

For those of you who don't know me, I am completely 150% awesome. No lie. I'm not giving my contact stuff here cause it's in the info section. But AIM and e-mail work well with me. I bring you not one but TWO TWO CHARACTERS.

Charles Roland "Ro" Williamson III: So for those of you who were in Mad World, I'm bringing him back, but with some changes. Because really I loved him so much I had to. So the celebration dance can begin. And if you hated him, well I hate you. :P He was Hufflepuff class of 1978 (the best class EVER!!!1111oneoneoneeleven) and is now finishing up his first year as an auror trainee. He lives with his secret lover best friend Marly in London. Oh and they're going to be getting a dog soon. He's a HUGE nerd. Love comics and Doctor Who and D&D and Star Trek and Star Wars and all that stuff. He's a little on the insane side, but in a good way. He jokes around a LOT and is pretty much never serious, except when it comes to him being a kick-ass auror and pinning Marly as often as possible. And for the record they're not dating. Never have, never will.

Damocles Belby sword_of_dam is my other character. He's a healer at St. Mungos in the Dangerous Bites ward. And yes he is that Damocles, the future inventor of the Wolfsbane potion. He's pretty secretive about his life, but tries to get along with everyone. And I need to upload images cause his PB is Chris Pine. JSYK

But enough about me! Here are my characters!

Barty Crouch, Jr.: dutifulson is the only son of the esteemed Bartemius Crouch Sr., a current public hero due to his dedicated persecution of dark arts sympathizers. Some even say that his dad might be Minister of Magic one day! Barty, however, is rather blase about how ~awesome~ his dad is. That's because Barty's secretly a Death Eater. There are lots of reasons as to why, but namely? Barty's a scary sonuvabitch sadist, sorry to say. Thanks to his secret double life, Barty's quite friendly and sarcastic and witty in his current position as an intern in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. A lot of people like him. He's a little lazy, and occasionally his sense of humor is biting, but eh. He's okay. Too bad that secretly he's a cruel, bigoted, and angry young man who just can't wait to rule the world, huh? I'd LOVE for Barty to have friends all over the political map, namely because Barty is very good at leading his double life, and he's nice to just about everybody. Those who have a good sense about people may find him a little creepy, and not know why... but that's up to you guys. As it is, Barty's getting away with his crimes, and loving every minute of it. PS - Slytherin House of '79 IN DA HAUS.

Doris Purkiss: kissoff used to be the Hufflepuff Class of '78 princess. Boys loved her for her tongue. Girls hated her for her two-facedness. Think... every stereotype of a popular girl you've ever entertained, plus a few more. Doris isn't nearly as stupid as she likes to pretend, so tread lightly. She may act like a powderpuff, but she makes it a business to know everyone's secrets. She's also not nearly as tough or mean as she acts. Doris has a soft spot for her 'Puffs, and can occasionally even act like a decent human being if you catch her on a good day. A Muggleborn who never bothered to make good grades in school, Doris is currently stuck working at a pub in Diagon Alley called Ben's Brews where her arse gets pinched every five seconds. She hates her job, and is more than a little embarrassed that she's come to this.

Nicholas Harrow: nickatnight is a vampire, but he's not at all like what you might expect. You might know his future self from The Profs! He drinks blood, sure, and hates garlic, check, and you'd never see him in the daylight, but he's not angsty nor tortured nor particularly self-loathing. In fact, he's without doubt the nicest of any of my characters. Nick was turned into a vampire when he was a 21 year-old Muggle way back in 1553, forced to leave behind his wife and baby. This did not put him in a good mood. After roughly sixty years of a violent, angry streak, Nick finally began to settle back down into a life that didn't involve killing people. Over four-hundred years later, Nick's one of the mildest, most well-adjusted vampires you'll ever meet. He hasn't killed anyone in over a century, and is a public figurehead for the Vampire Rights Assocation, or the VRA. You might know him from his speeches. At any rate, these days life is beginning to suck for him what with public distrust of supernaturals and Voldemort's pesky Dark Army that Nick has NO INTENTION of joining. Nick's an Order supporter at heart, and often does the odd jobs for them that no one else wants to do. Most think him a sorta odd fellow who's really nice and cultured. More often than not, he tries to pass as human unless you know him REALLY WELL. Inquire within if you think your character might!

That's about it! Plot, plot, plot? Please, please, please? :D

Just a brief mod post before we open up on Wednesday.

I've added an FAQ about the tags for the two comms (find_horcruxes and find_the_ooc). In the former, there's tags created already for every character. Please use them when you're posting logs and stuff, because it'll help me when I'm checking on y'all's activity. ;D There's also two media-related tags: one for articles (if your character is a reporter for any print source and you want to write an article, use that tag!) and one for wwn stuffs (again, if your character works for the wwn and you'd like to post a transcript of their show, use that tag). There are only two tags you'll have to concern yourself for this comm: one for intros and one for hiatus notices. The hiatus one is really important, so I can keep up with who all's on hiatus more easily, especially when doing activity checks.

And speaking of articles, the game will kick off with an article in the DP about the completed repairs on the hospital and all the lawsuits being filed against the hospital for the DE attacks last week. Hopefully I'll get it posted in the morning, but once it's posted, the game will be officially open, so have at it!

Also, I might add this to the FAQs or maybe as part of one of the rules, but PLEASE no placeholders, especially not in journal entries. You can backdate logs, placeholders are just horrible teases. Please don't do it.

Guys, we have 31 characters (not counting our two mod-controlled NPCs) and another 39 on hold. I'm hoping at least some of those 39 will come in tomorrow and on Wednesday, so hopefully we'll have a fun time here. :D There's still plenty of characters open, too! So if you haven't filled out your character limit yet and think you might have time for another, ... think about it! ;D

I'm Natasha. I answer to all forms of my name, and I've heard all forms of my name at one point or another. :o) I'm generally around at all kinds of odd hours, although I sometimes disappear due to children-related emergencies and occasionally tornados. :o) I can be reached on AIM at JubileeKnight or SheofSteamroller. And I'm playing Malcolm Thomas.

About Malcolm:
Ravenclaw, '69, healer on the Magical Bugs floor and researcher at the Hygeia Institute, fairly straight-laced most of the time, although he has his occasional impulsive moments. Hasn't yet realized that his employer at Hygeia might not genuinely have worldwide health and harmony in mind. May sometimes seem to be two (or more) very different people, depending on who he's around. Can actually be charming when he makes the effort, although he generally does try. He loves plants, although he has much less time to take care of his lately. When he's not working - or at some fundraiser that he absolutely can't get out of - he's probably fussing over his wife who is five months pregnant with Dean. Marianne is his biggest secret although he has others, ranging from the fact that he just can't apparate - and oh, how it stings his pride! - to the results of his current research.

Oh, yes! And, I'd be endlessly grateful to anyone who'd like to volunteer their slightly shady society type for the director, or a board member of the Hygeia Institute. They specialize in medical research ~supposedly~ for the benefit of humanity and all that.

Hey everyone! I'm Abby, I'm pretty sure I know all of you or at least a good chunk of you, but if my name is unfamiliar to you, I'm a Scorpisces from New England (though soon to be Texas!) who likes Disney Princesses of all shapes, sizes and colors, has one degree in English and will soon have another, and can be found OOCly at wingedthing. I've only got one character at this time, but she's awesome enough to make up for her singularity: Beverly Malkin.

For those who were in MW, Bev is pretty similar in personality and history to the way she was there. She's the daughter of the Madam Malkin of Madam Malkin's Robes for all Occasions and Hr. Garland Malkin, with a younger sister Charlotte (who is deaf and didn't attend Hogwarts for that reason--she had a tutor at home instead) and a younger brother Craig Malkin (who is currently still at Hogwarts, in Slytherin). She's slightly neurotic but very responsible (kind of comes naturally to her), has a slight fascination for the Dark Arts (though she won't be killing anyone anytime soon or signing up with Volderama either). She was the Ravenclaw prefect for her year from 5th through 7th year and was all responsible and such, and is currently a bookkeeper at the Ministry of Magic.

In the years since finishing Hogwarts, Bev's kind of been...well, she's been away. She was very seriously involved with a guy who just wasn't at all good for her (aside: now taking volunteers for the position of Bev's asshole ex!). The vast majority of her friends did not approve, so she kind of fell out of touch with them...avoiding all of the truth telling they were doing about "this guy is bad news." Of course, she finally figured it out recently when the two of them were on holiday in the Caribbean and he dumped her and left her stranded, which was beyond awkward. And now she's back and eating humble pie and looking for friends, pls? ^_^
