Find the Horcruxes (ooc)

So, I'm Brandi, and I'm your friendly neighborhood mod! Everyone should have posting access for this here OOC comm (and if you don't ... double-check your invites page ... and if you have no pending invites, just lemme know and I'll give you posting access!), and with the game starting in a week, I figured it's probably about time we start making use of this nice and shiny comm!

So like I said, I'm Brandi and I'm the mod hereabouts. I'm 25 and a grad student planning to teach kindergarten, which means that I'm insane. But you probably already knew that. I'm around IJ at zombiephile for my CDJ and flannel_girl for my icon journal, but again ... you probably already knew that. I'm reachable at AIM nearly all the time at brandied plum, and if you can't catch me there, hit me up via e-mail either at my personal account (garnet . sunrise @ gmail) or the mod account (find . the . mod @ gmail ... though please limit that one to actual modly-related business).

What you may or may not know: I have five characters here. And here's a rundown on them!

Marlene McKinnon (this journal): loudmouthed Gryffindor tomboy in MWPP year (class of 78). Was Quidditch chaser (and captain in her 7th year). Auror trainee. Bad-ass Order member. Annoying morning person. Coffee afficionado. Impatient. Halfblood, but only barely. Hates purist ideals with a passion. Loves dragons. Has two younger sisters, both of whom she is VERY protective of. Prefers jeans to dresses. Flatmates with BFF Ro Williamson. Bio here.

Alice Sauveterre (dear_alice): sweethearted Gryffindor class of 73 (was Prefect & Head Girl). Healer (creature-induced injuries). Engaged to Frank Longbottom. Has twin eight-year-old brothers that she loves dearly. Order member. Believes werewolves are people, too. Pureblood but not purist. Incurable romantic. Bakes when she's stressed. Wants to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony. Bio here.

Persephone Jugson née Wolfe (porcelainic): outwardly demure Slytherin class of 77. Widowed (her husband tragically died on their honeymoon). Somewhat disgraced family. Loves working with potions and creating new ones. Death Eater (but very, very privately; only, well, the Death Eaters really know that she's into that Death Eating thing -- even the other supporters would think she's just a supporter). Seems to be very demure and quiet, grieving her husband's tragic passing. Two-faced and oh-so-slightly insane. Pureblood (thought just barely) and very stringent purist. Bio here.

Doyle Sullivan (dishonestly): lazy bum Hufflepuff class of 71. Petty thief and counterfeiter. Check your pockets and your watch before you part his company. Order supporter, mostly because the DEs don't like his muggleborn-ness, the Ministry keeps trying to arrest him, and Dumbles is a right groovy bloke who doesn't seem to mind that Doyle doesn't always keep on the clean side of the law. Guy Dobbs (reporter_guy): bastard of a Ravenclaw class of 69. Reporter for the Daily Prophet. Has no scruples whatsoever. Frequently partakes in blackmail and bribery. Doesn't care so much about the truth, so long as the story's good. Ministry supporter, but only because they're in power; ready to jump ship as soon as someone else comes to power. Man whore. Hi everyone! My name is Emily and I am super excited for this game to start :D. I'm 18 years old, and I will be starting college at the end of August and majoring in Communications, which I am also very excited about :). So anyway! I'm going to be playing Ernest "Ernie" Macmillan here at Find the Horcruxes. Ernie is a former Hufflepuff (class of 73), and he's a broadcaster for the WWN. Ernie is lively, talkative, and an all around friendly guy who's generally easy to talk to and get along with. Ernie lives in London with his wife, Gemma, and his two year old daughter Cecilia. He's a real "family guy", so spending time with Gem and his daughter is pretty much his favorite thing to do. He's a pureblood, but he's about as far from a purist as you can be. He really doesn't understand why it should matter so much, because Ernie knows first hand that being a pureblood doesn't make him any better or worse at magic than anyone else. Maybe if he could fly (without a broom) or have laser beam eyes he'd understand what all the fuss was about, but unfortunately that's not the case. So naturally, Ernie sides with the Order. He's definitely a supporter, but Ernie would never want to get involved in the fighting first hand. He really isn't much of a fighter at all.
