This is to remind you that there is a trip to Hogsmeade scheduled for October 29. All third years and up who have submitted permission slips will be permitted to leave the castle to take a trip into the village. All of our visitors from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang are also encouraged to attend this trip.

On December 23rd at 6:30 PM, we will be hosting the Yule Ball in the Great Hall. It is part of the TriWizard Tournament tradition, and I trust all of you to be on your best behaviors.

Just this morning, I received a request from one of the recently returned individuals, one Lily Evans Potter. She requested aid in catching up on the changes in the field of potions and charms (I've sent Professor Chambers a note as well).

If you believe you are willing and able to meet with her, even if only to recommend a few books, please let me know when you would be available.

Please do not feel at all obligated to fulfil this request if you are disinclined to do so.
