So, clearly I'm a masochist because this is Sherri with character number five. I bring you Celia Rodriguez García, 15 year old Bard who is determined to become Arielle Chiaro's apprentice. You can read all about her here.

a year later and i finally make a new character. this is ash bringing in vanessa ortiz. she's a 30 yo. archer and valendian ranger. born and raised in the outlands with her collection of hunters so she knows quite a bit about the outlands through what her parents and tribe taught her. you can check out her history here. but tl;dr she didn't actually come to live in emillion until she turned twelve. she was pretty wretched at first, didn't get along with anyone, but over time she was able to prove herself. she still feels isolated, but is generally not as distant as she used to be (though she still kind of is).

she's pretty serious/stoic, takes shit from no one upon first impression. the more you get to know her, you'll realize she has a dry sense of humor and she'll prob tease you or something and then come off as a huge asshole. super loyal and a total tree hugger.

ps: she just got back from being in the outlands so lol she's going to be like "wait what" at everything and probably be sad the rangers dwindled down or something. idk.

Introducing, SAEED HADDAD, a samurai in the Fighters Guild and currently working at a bodyguard to a wealthy family. His profile is located HERE but here are some highlights!

• Born in a very remote village in the desert of Ordalia where his father owned an inn. Came to Emillion, lived with his uncle there until he was old enough to join the Fighter's Guild. A samurai took him as his squire, then Saeed became a monk, and then became a samurai!
• Has lived in Emillion since he was 10 and so he's been here a while.
• He's pretty chilled and relaxed. He meditates every morning and functions on a routine of doing so.
• Very accepting and open to others, and while he has some reservations about Fell Knights, he doesn't distance himself the way others do. People don't feel judged around him and so friends? y/y? :D
• He has a very distinct accent to the area of Ordalia and he still has it, though not as prominent as it once was.

Hi everyone, this is Maaya who has clearly and definitively lost her mind. Somehow, four wasn't enough for me??????? So now I introduce you to Cyrus Colle, Sentinel and possible frontrunner for Derp of the Year (DERP SQUAD, HIIIIIIIIIIIIII). If you want full details, they're here, but essentially, he's 34, raised by monks in a small mountain settlement, currently a Ranger who's way better in the wilderness than the city, a complete flailboat with the pretty ladies, and so painfully nice that he may actually give you cavities. He's come to Emillion at the behest of his captain to try and figure out what the bleeping heck is going on here. He just got to town in the last week or so and mistook brothels for hotels, it was good times. He's not the brightest cookie but he tries really hard.

A few plot ideas:

FRIENDS, EMILLIONITES, COUNTRYMEN, LEND ME YOUR EYEBALLS. this is rian with my aforementioned second (and for now, last!!) character, yuuko hara! just a quick overview:

• second generation emillionite (her family is from edo, basically tokyo/kyoto in ordalia) born and raised in the tenements—she left briefly while she was a full time monk with the FG because the money was good enough for her to get a nice apartment for her and her mother in the commoner's district, but she's since had to move back because—
  
• her mother became very ill when yuuko was 23, prompting her to leave the guild to take care of her and work full time. yuuko works 3 jobs to help pay for her mother's treatments and care. right now: morning glory cafe, the roast's grande cathedral location, and ivory as line cook. she's worked a bunch of places the last three years, though, so your characters will likely have seen her around!
  
• bff with sayuri/basaka and bel/sneek. she acts like their big sister and/or mom, tbh.
  
• aspiring chef, and she is really, really good at it. her dream before her mom got ill was to save up and open a restaurant in the bazaar by the time she was 30, but lol.
  
• she's super nice and friendly, can be kind of a busybody, but don't mistake her kindness for being a doormat. she has no time for people who are purposefully lazy and no interest in bending over backwards for people she doesn't already know and trust. THAT BEING SAID, it's pretty easy to get to know her because she talks to everyone.

things i would like!

• friends from the guild! yuuko was there from 12 to 23, and she still swings by to talk to sayuri and get in some basic conditioning training, though she's not looking to join back up right now.
  
• friends from work! yuuko is That Waitress who knows everyone by name, asks after your family, brings you your favorite drink without asking, etc. she doesn't tell people she works at ivory so much because they just end up thinking she's a host and not a cook, but customers from there would probably know her. her miso-glazed salmon is damn good.
  
• tenement friends! poor people friends! yuuko's neighborhood in the tenements is very tight knit with everyone in each other's business and helping out where they can—if you live near her, she has known you and fed you before.

hellloooo!! i'm shay/~oolong and i was here in the fall for a hot second with a different character (drys, who i'm also planning on bringing back revamped) until school ate me alive. now i have lots of free time so i've returned with bel song — short for belgaer (his given name is actually eun-soo but no one calls him that), but it's always bel. bullet points for your pleasure:

• 24 y/o, thieves' guild, ninja class. he's been a ninja since 21 and was a thief before that!
• grew up in emillion; his family immigrated several generations ago, and are the proprietors of Song's Metals, a shop in the bazaar district where they sell custom jewelry, accessories, and (sometimes) weapons in the old ordalian styles. they used to have a lot of shops but in the past 2 decades they've dwindled down to just the one, but it's still pretty well-known.
• bel is very nice, polite, and cheerful. he's also very calm and it takes a good bit to rustle his jimmies. he's kind of an oblivious puppy, but less yappy. he's the youngest of seven sons and pretty sheltered, girls make him googly-eyed and flustered, and he thinks with his stomach 99% of the time.
• grew up in a big, loving family (those six older brothers, plus their wives and children) not to mention his aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. family is bel's #1 priority which is why it's hard for him to balance hiding the guild from them with his participation in guild activities, so to speak. he's an apprentice in his parents' shop and has to do a lot of juggling.
• as suits a ninja, bel is very flexible and acrobatic, on top of his stealth training. he climbs all over everything and likes to jump from building to building. his joy in the TG comes from the fun of it and not much else. basically he has no idea that he's maybe in a little over his head with them.
• plot ideas: friends, obviously. people who know him from the shop, where he works the counter most days! people who know his brothers (one's a geology professor at the university, one's an EKP knight, one's a monk). idk, i'm up for anything! also, FG people will know him for being basaka's childhood friend & bonafide shadow.

Hello~ good lord 2am this is Tea with her third character: Esther! Her full name is Meredith Esther Glass, but she prefers going by Esther (feel free to call her Meredith if your character is so inclined).

ESTHER GLASS; WHITE MAGE

→ BACKGROUND; Ordalian background from several generations ago, so she's Emillion native by now. Her family is not considered to be old nobility but they have plenty of money to make up for that. She's the only daughter and her parents are incredibly protective of her, especially since this one time she got caught up in Onyx Guard business. She survived it thanks to Aspel.

She's studying to be a White Mage but mostly she gets horribly nervous and then can't cast. Had several suitors until she was engaged two years ago. Esther is quite happy to follow conventions, you will not find her trying to rebel or go against traditions.

As a person Esther is very chatty, happy and interested in what other people have to say. Unfortunately she is still very immature, mischievous, inexperienced and sheltered — so not always the most empathetic of people. On the plus side, she is also incredibly loyal and takes any promise or oath seriously.

hi, this is venus with her third char :3 i'm bringing in akiyama sayuri, known to most people as sayuri, and one of the younger members of the fighters' guild bc idk how to play anyone over 25 apparently. (this is a lie.)

BULLET POINTS TO MAKE THINGS EASIER:

• akiyama sayuri: twenty-three, berserker, would prefer you don't underestimate her just because she fits the feminine ideal, thank u.
• sayuri grew up in emillion and the akiyama clan is fairly well-known
• the akiyamas are an artisan group by trade, crafting beautiful porcelain and pottery for generations that is very popular amongst the upper class. so they're pretty wealthy.
• the akiyamas have a small "estate" in commoner district, which they poured a lot of money into for it being not so large; it's something of an "attraction" in its own way.
• sayuri herself is a member of the fighters' guild; she's been a berserker since she was seventeen, so she has about five years of experience in her class. sayuri is 5'10" but stronger than she looks.
• but she can get kind of prickly/defensive if you underestimate her. which happens often, bc she doesn't give off the air of being battle-hardened or a member of the FG most of the time; her family is very traditional and she prides herself on her gentle appearance (even though she herself is rarely gentle).
• she's actually kind of frank/blunt most of the time, mostly bc she doesn't think she must curb her personality in order to look a certain way. so she pursued the berserker class. so she wears the traditional garb of her people, takes small steps, performs tea ceremony. is that supposed to make her somehow incompetent? she wasn't aware that forsaking her interests in the aesthetics was necessary in order to be taken seriously. (this is a sore point.)
• her father has apprentices!! he has two at the moment since sayuri is uninterested in taking up the family trade and he has recently taken up the idea that maybe she should marry one of them. THIS IS COMEDIC FOR ALL INVOLVED. if someone ever wanted to app a civilian... or a guild member with an interest in ceramics, idk??? lmao
• plot ideas: people who are interested in the ceramics business? previous customers, most likely nobles/people of wealth? people who have seen/know sayuri around from being in emillion for x amount of years? people she often trains with/prefers to do battle with? maybe her old mentor? people who dislike her or underestimate her; people who respect her, think she's great? victims of her makeovers? people who share her interest in shopping/make-up or people who would probably benefit plot-wise from it? u know u want to do a makeover thread with me so help me faram

HELLO FRIENDS. some of you might recognize me--this is rian, and i fell off the RP planet for a while a few months back. but i've been slowly working my way back in and decided after months of hemming and hawing, to try dipping my toes back into emillion. i used to play dominas/rending/changeability, and you can still consider those dudes around as NPCs, but right now i'm bringing in just one new character!

this is lutheria beoulve, long-running member of the black lions, fell knight and former berserker, and raging asshole. lutheria is not a good person and i need to apologize in advance for that, because she gains no greater pleasure than just being a total dick to people at every opportunity. she isn't nice; she doesn't want to pretend to be nice; and really, the only person who has any sort of control over her is gillian/chibirui, who she straight up idolizes, but lol she will never say that. lutheria is a tough nut to crack and has zero time for people she doesn't like, which is...mostly everyone...but she'll be popping up in their posts to cause trouble anyway. while she loves to troll, she isn't very smart, so don't expect her to say anything really searing or effective in an argument—if she doesn't have anything to say, thank god, she will just back off. she can be excessively loyal to the people she does like, though, so if for some godforsaken reason any of your characters actually put up with her, expect her to go above and beyond if they need it. like, she has almost no moral compass, so you know. that is a thing.

the important thing to know about lutheria, which you may have guessed from her surname, is that she's descended from nobility. she's the last remaining heir of a dynasty that was basically lost to emillion generations ago, and which her drunk ass dad told her about, but lol like she believed him. there's a substantial trust set aside for her as "the beoulve heir" by the judges/mages tower (IF SOMEONE WANTS TO BE IN CHARGE OF THAT, HMU), as well as the abandoned beoulve property at the edge of the city. i plan for her to learn about this more in game but would love love love anyone who wants to jump in somehow. other lost beoulve heirs??? WHO KNOWS

anyway hi, glad to be back, friends!! i'm still really appalling at logs and threads, so go easy on me while i get back into the swing of things. i have a second character on the docket who is significantly nicer than lutheria, so if she isn't your cup of tea, hopefully that character will be a little easier to plot with ♥

Howdy all, this is Chrissie, who is hoping after this week of midterms to be less of a absentee and more involved.

I'm introducing this girl here, Chloë du Gard. Full profile is here for those who want to take a gander, but I'll do my best to summarize her a bit here. :)

She's an orphan and doesn't know about her parents, and doesn't really care to, because hey, they didn't want her, she doesn't need them. She spent her early to a portion of her middle childhood in Valendia at an orphanage, where the roots of her aloofness to building meaningful friendships/relationships is rooted. Then she ran away and ended up in Emillion and got pulled into a gang of thieving children that worked as a recruitment program for the Thieves Guild. At 11, she was brought in as an apprentice, and then was a machinist for five years before she went back to her first love, thievery. She works odd jobs and keeps a low profile, but people within the guild probably know her or of her.

Chloë is friendly for the most part, really good with numbers, and often looks like she's up to something. She doesn't really have close friends, but I imagine she has general friends who enjoy having her around because she's fun. She absolutely loves the Rumor Mill and often eavesdrops whenever she can if there's a tidbit of juicy gossip going around. Those people she does call her friends are a selective bunch, I think, and even still, their friendship doesn't have any deep conversations or anything like that.

She carries around a pistol that she has random modifications for, like an exchangeable barrel and reinforced hilt, etc. And she also has some small gadgets that help her in her thievery. Like I said before, she's really good with numbers, and can manipulate them as well. She's sort of a jack of all trades when it comes to repair work, and if she can take it apart, she can put it back together and know how to fix it.

hi guys~ it's venus! i come here with my second character at long last.

this is ryul varus - an archer as of three years ago and the world's laziest squire before that. he had a reputation but it was mostly for hiding out in places to nap instead of practice. somehow he managed to get his crap together and he's a pretty decent archer, truth be told. he's lived in emillion his entire life and his parents are both commoners, his father a shoemaker and his mother a seamstress. he has a little bit of ~starry eyes~ for knights. and though rough around the edges, he's shaping up to be a much more responsible young man than he was a teenager.

he's a bit of a jokester/prankster, loves to laugh, and quite clever, except his cleverness is used on things like 1) running away from practice and 2) pranks. he's quite romantic too - it's not unusual for him to declare he's fallen in love at first sight - but his attentions last like 1-2 months at most before he forgets about them entirely. and really, if he exercised a little more self-discipline, he could find himself becoming a well-respected individual in the guild as he gets older, so fingers crossed that's something that comes with age.

he's contemporaries with cressida - they trained together - and in a cats-and-dogs kind of dynamic with flynn as in he is pushed around by miss tiny on a regular basis, so people who know either of them would probably at least know of him! i'm looking for any and all dynamics - mentors, people who thought he was a waste of time in the fg and changed their minds, people who still think he was a waste of time, squire buds (he has a younger sister and adores her, he loves younger people who love him basc), an old fling or two, just friends in general though the longer he's known them, the better!!! gimme all your plot basc :D

basics: 28 years old as of TODAY! arithmetician/white mage, MG, kerwonian.

grew up in a monastery far away in kerwon, kept on a very tight leash. itched for freedom, adventure, something else. she ran away soon after making class as white mage. had to learn the ropes of adventuring first-hand which was an eye opener. eventually, she met up with some rowdy travelers and had lots of fun, switched over to arithmetician, watched helplessly as her new friends got in an accident and she wasn't able to heal them. after that, her faith wavered but now she's back on the ball! came across the pharist group of the disciples. she's still looking for a place of her own but right now it's with them/faram and she fits in more than ever. :>

this is her first time in emillion! she arrived sometime in late summer/early fall. currently happy to be here, settled down in one place for the first time in about a decade. also joined up with the guild recently, also a new experience.

she lives in the monastery but loves exploring the city so she will be out and about everywhere, not simply frequenting the cathedral.

she's a passing acquaintance of the old!jareth, friends with wolfe and lionel, and eager to get to know all their contacts in emillion.

she's friendly and altruistic! open and honest about her opinion, but more interested in hearing everyone else's than sharing her own. she's a curious one. :> her app is here!

Ahem. Hi, Emillion. I'm Sai (known in other corners of the internet as puja and I'm new to the game. I've been hiatused from RP for a while but I've really missed writing and this seems like a wonderful game in which to get my groove back~ I must warn y'all that I'm a complete newbie to the FF world, but I'm excited to dive in headfirst.

But enough about me. This here is Caspar Vaux, and as you might guess, he's a sentinel. He's the son of an upper-class pharist Bishop in Kerwon (these things happen), who was raised to go into the church. Of course, Caspar isn't one to go the easy way. He was determined from a young age to become a Knight, and that's exactly what he did. Along the way he trained alongside one Rictor Cassul, and the pair became heated rivals (with an undercurrent of respect) for the oh, next ten years. Caspar left Kerwon to get away from his parents as soon as he could (boy has daddy issues and then some) and ended up in Emillion some four odd years ago.

Here's the part where I need help from all of you wonderful people:

- He's a Valendian Ranger. Fun battle times ahoy!
- He loves women, and isn't begrudging about showing them respect (and more). Former/present/future flings are always good to get him in trouble.
- He's really friendly on the surface, but doesn't let people get too close. That being said, a couple of close friends might help keep him sane.
- He's got a thorough religious education, but his awful relationship with his parents has tainted that as well. Anyone who spends enough time with him will be able to see this.
- Rictor Cassul is an ass. That's basically all he has to say on that point.

hi everyone! my name is venus and i'm a new player jslhfjks. i just turned 19 this christmas, i'm an art student, and i think i know some of you? yes? maybe? i'm usually available on weekdays and weekends because i have class during the day but usually i'm pretty easy to get a hold of on gchat or email ;;; my cdj is at snowball and it's also another way to get a hold of me. um that's enough about me...

i'm bringing in cecilia fennes, who is a brand-new citizen of emillion! she's originally from a very small town called tarlev. which is incidentally a well-disguised camp of cultists, basically. she studied under the mages in the ordalian capital but was sent off because she's dabbled a little too much in the dark magic stuff basically - i saw you guys had a wanted ad for those who like to dance with the dark, so here we go ;; rather than expelling her outright, they've just sent her away under pretense of allowing cecilia to learn from other mages. so i'm guessing council members would know she's showing up but she's pretty much not going to know anyone else. she's sheltered in terms of her exposure to the 'outside' world but she's come miles from where she was at the very beginning, so she's a little off but not completely.

personality-wise, she's a daydreamer, the kind of person who zones out and marches to their own drum. sort of like a luna lovegood lite but tempering down the more extreme eccentricities. she's gently disinterested in most people and things but if you hook her attention, she can be an interesting conversationalist if you keep an open mind. and obviously, she has a very strong interest in dark magic - she's learning more and more to keep it under wraps but she has a fair amount of dark spells in her repertoire that might raise a few eyebrows if people notice.

i'd like to jumpstart her off on the right foot, so if anyone would mind being a guiding hand? ;;; i'd like to her make some friends, meet as many characters as possible in order to settle her in.

Hello, Emillion. My name is Jack. We may have played together at some point. It's a small internet. My CDJ is jackissuperfly if that rings any bells. No? No bells? That's okay. We'll ring some new bells today. Together.

Anyway, this guy here is your latest and greatest Bard, Colin Cole, better known as Colin the Fucking Minstrel. Top five things to know about Colin:

• He's obnoxious. Fun to be around in social gatherings and short bursts, but annoying in civilized company, as you would expect of someone who is known as Colin the Fucking Minstrel.
  
• He's a thief by inclination and by guild membership, though by trade and training he's a Bard. He's basically a pacifist; he'll pick your pocket and steal your heart, but if he tries to swing a dagger he's likely to hurt himself before anyone else. It's really funny though.
  
• Colin's smarter than he acts, but it would be difficult not to be. He's a talented thief, a skillful bard, and not a bad seamstress.
  
• He's been in and out of the city for the past decade or so. You may know him. You may have heard of him. You may have slept with him, but you probably wish you hadn't.
  
• He has an app! Sure, everyone has an app, but his has swashbuckling adventure and brief, tasteful nudity.* You should check it out.
