Battle Tourney +1

Hello everybody!

The mods have been discussing several possibilities on how the battle tourney can possibly be run, and have decided to put some of the factors up for player vote at this time. Please take a look after the cut and weigh in on the matters presented with your current opinion. In the end - as long as it makes logical sense in the context of the game - we're likely to go with majority vote.

Some quick facts about the tourney for those who are currently interested in it!
• This is a yearly event. To assist in showing off some of the more practical skills, lethal spell work, and applicable abilities of the various classes - unlike the Founder's Festival Skills display.
• We want to make sure that we point out that while more dangerous skills, abilities, and spells will be allowed to be used against each other, measures are being taken to assure that this does not end up a blood bath.
• This event is open to any character that has made class.
• This event is open to all guild and non-guild aligned characters.
• This event also assists in keeping character's skills sharp, and allowing for assistance in finding weaknesses in defense that can be worked on in the future.
• This is voluntary! No one has to sign up.
• This event has been run two ways in the past both as individual combatants, and as teams as it became more popular over time for sake of organizational ease.
• You can sign your character up for the tourney under the "Sign Ups!" heading in this post.
• As always, if you have any questions, feel free to leave us a comment under the "Questions" heading in this post.

Please note: All questions are currently worded as if this were aimed for team battles for sake of ease. If your preference is against team battles for this, assume the questions are also meant for individual combatants.

EDIT: As we cannot edit polls after they have been posted, a quick adjustment to the question determining winner/loser status - The highest damage roll would be the "loser" in that situation, not the winner. Therefore if Team 1 had a damage roll of 2, and team 2 had a damage roll of 4, Team 1 would progress onto the next round, and Team 2 would "lose". Sorry about that!

To the poll! )
