[As 'Nightcrawler']

There is a vast community here, I see, of many types of people. I wish to know what you think about forgiveness. When it can be offered, that is, and what it means to give it. Whether it can help the person who forgives as well as the forgiven. I know what God says on this matter, but I would like to hear what man says, as well.

It's not morality. Some people who do whatever the hell the right thing is from day to day might refuse to forgive someone because they got burned too badly. And someone who's a raging asshole might forgive for whatever reason they have. It's [ ... ] forgiveness is a personal thing.

I am playing the advocate of the devil, you understand. I think there are gray spaces, no matter how hard you try to walk a straight line between the good and the evil. As for forgiveness, I can see what you say. I only wish it were simpler.

If only everything was simpler. Life in general, maybe.

It's a heavy topic to ask a bunch of strangers about. Why bother?

Many men have said that before you, and many men will say it again. I will say it too. A simpler life would be a blessing.

I am curious. I am also alone, here. There is little else to do but talk to strangers, you see.

Trust me, with this thing, you'll start to miss loneliness some days. Are you curious to find out just in general, or see who agrees with you?

Curious in general. I am not seeking to round up people who agree with my opinion, if that is what you are asking. I was only curious to know. Sometimes, my opinion changes when I talk to other people. I will never know what else I might think if I do not speak to them. I recently made some [...] mistakes. They happened because I would not listen to my friends, and open my thoughts. I have decided not to do the same again, or to try.

That's probably the most sensible thing I've heard in months. Someone learning from their fuckups? Amazing.

[ ... ] So that means you're curious on whether they should forgive you or not, is it? Or are you already past that point and it just occurred to you again?

I am trying. I still hold anger toward others who I feel mistreated me in the course of those events, but to the ones I hurt, I am sorry.

There is one in particular who I wonder about. I do not know if she can forgive me, and even if so, I will not seek further contact between us. I would only like to know she understands why I did what I did, and can absolve me. As for the other friend I hurt, I think if I were to offer him my genuine apologies, he would forgive me. He is a good man.

Lucky for you on one, then, but what if she doesn't want to know why you did it? What if there's no reason good enough for absolution as far as she's concerned?

Then I will accept her feelings and move on. I can do nothing else.

I see no point in doing this. She has made her feelings clear. she will never reciprocate my feelings. she cannot see past

Sensible enough, if there's not much else you can do. I suppose trying to force the matter would just make things a hell of a lot worse.

It would. And I do not think I want someone who vehemently does not want me, you see.

I suppose I should say good luck, but. Only so much good luck does in this kind of situation.

No. And this is why I am trying to leave it behind. I do not know if I will see her again, and so much else to think about, now. I seem to be alone, here. Some names that I see in this book I know, but many are foreign to me, and none belong to friends. None belong to people like me. So I must do what I can, now that I am here in my own world again, simply to get by, and to help those that need it on my own.

If she's not there, I guess it gives you time to think about how to talk to her if she shows up.

Just [ ... ] More what it's like to fight with forgiving. Getting it or giving it. How to deal with other parties when it comes down to the line.
