So we all admitting that some weird shit went down? Yeah? Good. Now anyone else going to start looking for the people they got brain linked with? Because let me tell you, I had a few I'm starting to worry about, but I don't want to be the one spilling other people's business to you all.

[Hunter W.]
H, tell me you're okay, baby.

[Sam A.]
Talk to me, girlie.

[Jade C.]
So tell me about the pretty lady that tried to shoot you, Jadey.

I hear that. You trying to find anyone? I knew some of mine, but not all. And it wasn't good shit that I saw, that's for sure.

No, I [...] think some of the people I saw might prefer their anonymity. Be grateful for it, even.

Think you might be right, but it don't stop me from worrying any. Whatever's out there doing this shit to us should at least give us a way to check up after if we don't already know who we saw, you know? Without laying people's business out there for everyone to see.

What if it didn't seem like they wanted any help or concern?

Yeah, you got another good point there, but there's also the fact that I don't know what's going on with them. I saw lots of hurt and shit that made me angry, but if it's memory it's past, right? But it also don't mean that I can just let the worry go, if they're still dealing with it. And this city or the voice in my head's got me wanting to help all the time when I should just shut up and mind my own business.

The voice in my head doesn't want to help anyone. Except maybe me. I saw It was like I did those things and like I thought those things. But I wouldn't do any of that, even if it made sense at the time. Je suis desolee I'm sorry, does that make sense?

I don't know that the one in mine wants to help so much as she's it's a good/bad influence on me. [...] Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Same shit happened to me. Got to be inside people and feel what all they were feeling. And not good feelings, either. I'm thinking that we all played mix up and someone must've got something of mine, but I don't have anything near as bad as I saw from other people.

And now you got me rambling, which maybe you don't want to read. Sorry if you don't.

[Noting the pause.] Didn't mean to scare you there, but it makes sense, yeah? Got to trade or something like that, because everyone's saying they got memories, and they had to come from somewhere. Me, you, everyone else, maybe even both sides of these shitty doors.

[...] It is fucked up to think of what people are learning about you though, yeah? I saw stuff from people I know that I know, and I'm checking on them as quick as I can. But I got some without names to them.

It is a frightening thought, to not have secrets.

I don't think that I recognized anybody in what I saw, but the woman on the other side of my door did.

It is. Like I said, my stuff isn't that bad, most of it. But that doesn't mean I want people knowing it. [...] What do you think you'd do? If you found out other people got one of yours?

Did she? My little bit didn't, which is probably a good thing. That world's got some strange ass stuff going on.

It doesn't have to be bad. It could be embarrassing or [...] I don't know. I suppose it would just depend on what they saw. Hopefully simple things.

I saw somebody - but it was like seeing myself - kill somebody. In the dream, or memory, whatever it may be, I knew he was a bad person. I felt justified. [...] I don't necessarily want to go asking about who those kinds of people are. I think it may be an awkward subject to bring to the forums, non? Another was too intimate, even if it was still horrible. I was cutting my arm up, hurting myself because it almost seemed like I [...] didn't want to hurt, and if I could reach the point where I had hurt enough, I would be the best and it would stop. [...] I don't think it works that way, though. [...] It would be nice if it did.

Oh, baby, I'm sorry you had to see shit like that. Seems like this city's got its share of problems. I didn't get people doing things so much as having things done to them. Accidents and shitty parents and people marrying assholes they shouldn't've. It's got me wanting to check, like I said, but it makes sense you'd want to leave it alone.

And no, I don't think it works that way either. I've known plenty of people that did that sort of thing, and they only ever ended up more hurt in the long run.

Maybe those things are all in the past. Or is it selfish to hope it is so in order to not deal with it now?

You have a good head on your shoulders for someone with a strange name.

I never think it's selfish to hope. You got to have hopes in order to keep yourself going, I think.

Oh, that's not the real one, I'll admit. Real one doesn't get used much these days except when I call up my Ma or talk to my sister. And as pretty as yours is, it's not like it's real common either, darling.

Are you an inspirational speaker? If not, you should look into the market.

[...] Yeah, I've been thinking about changing it to something more simple less noticeable. I used to think that my mother just shortened Gabrielle, or wanted it to be real unique in that way. then I looked up its meaning one day, something about "God is my might." She wasn't very religious though, so maybe she never knew that.

Nah, no one wants to see my ass up onstage anywhere. I'm just a guy that's been around enough to start to learn to go with shit as it happens. So I'll stick to what I'm doing now. Thanks for that thought though. Made me smile a bit.

That really what it means? Mine's "he laughs", which just makes it seem like things are a joke. I've moved around a bit, so it was easy enough to just start introducing myself as something else once I hit somewhere new. Don't know how well that'd work if you were staying in one spot, though.

You could do audio recordings or write a book where nobody has to see you.

Why did you move around so much?

Girl, for all you know I've got a voice like a chipmunk. And I don't have the education to be writing books. Real flattered that you think I could, though.

Didn't like where I started out, so I up and left one day. Then I just never really stopped. But I've been here a few months now and this one might stick for a while. If for no other reason that I got people I know here now from my past, and like I said early, someone in my head making me softer so that I worry about them all the time.

You have called me baby and girl so far. If I was old enough to be a grandmother, I do not know if I would be offended or flattered. I'll go with flattered so that it goes both ways. [...] You could fingerpaint the books, if education is a problem.

You worry about the people you know here or you worry about the one in your head? For me, it is both.

Well you could either go with flattered, or just figure I do that same thing to everyone. It'd be the truth, after all. Think everyone I know in this city's been called baby at some point. And you might be onto something with the fingerpainting.

Both. No one's got a lick of sense around here, it seems. And I don't have a troublemaker, like some folks do, but it's more of the lacking sense.
