Sweet and Sour Dungeon...Act 1
Who: Exploration Team.
What: Dungeon crawling.
Where: Gingerbread Dungeon crawl
When: June 22nd
Why: Dungeon crawling, have fun you lucky ducks

The group finds itself placed in a very sweet setting, the world around them is covered in well white icing on the ground, and various gumdrops that lead the way around a gingerbread bricked path, with chocolate icing on the edges to make a nice touch. The path leads down a long front yard dotted with trees made from fondant (cake decorating stuff that's like candy) and hanging off them are chocolate kisses, pepermint drops, lemon drops, and other assorted fruit candy.

	The group quickly discovers that the path leads to an adorable little gingerbread house, that is covered with a iced roof and gumdrops. The door frame is licorice twists (red) and the dor is made of a sugar cookie. The house looks good enough to eat, and you can smell the sweet scent of hot chocolate and marshmellows in the air. 	The setting threw Kiriko somewhat. It fit Misaki, she supposed, but... What about the Shadow? "Don't eat anything," she said over her shoulder, leading her team down the central path, though speaking loud enough that any other teams within earshot could hear. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Kazuya glanced about at the surroundings with a part-suspicious, part-curious, part-ohlookcandy air. Most of the landscape seemed quite edible, and.. well, for lack of a better word, tasty. He might have even tasted some of it, if he had not before mentally noted never to come in touch contact with things in this.. odd reality far before.

Either way, he more or less obediently trailed behind Kiriko, his arms hanging at his sides in an almost casual fashion. It might've been a walk through the city, for all that it currently mattered.

Since she'd seen the posts on the journals, Kozue had been worrying. Even though nobody had said, "we're going to need you", she hadn't been able to concentrate on much of anything else, since finding out that Misaki was most likely in That Place. Paradise.

They were friends, after all—and Kozue hadn't the slightest doubt that Misaki would come in after her, if their positions had been reversed. And part of her was wondering what kind of Other Self her unbelievably sweet, cheerful classmate could be repressing. Misaki didn't seem like a repressing type at all, after all: maybe she didn't even have a Shadow Self.

Now, Kozue stood at the entrance, gaping at the literally saccharine surroundings that were, apparently, Misaki's Paradise.

Renju handled literal sweetness about as well as she did the figurative variety. Feeling a bit sick to her stomach, she stuck with Kozue for the time being--it seemed like she was one of the few people on the former team with whom Renju could get along reasonably well. Most of the others, even Maeko (who she'd been surprisingly friendly with lately) were a little too involved in the infighting at this point for her to want to deal with it. Not that Kozue wasn't, but at least it wasn't by any real fault of her own.

"... let's hurry through here." Her voice, normally confident when she was talking about things related to Paradise, was a little shaky now.

	Tom was also in the dungeon, he slipped in well ahead of the group, and much like he had been since they all left him standing alone in Paradise, Tom was taking great pains to not only avoid talking to them, but also to avoid being seen by them. (Reply to this)

	As the group heads down the path the sweet smell is intoxicating. Ahead is a door that, once opened, leads into a maze of gingerbread walls with icing atop. There are several paths each one has a similar look, there is no way of telling where each of the paths go. (Reply to this) (Thread)

Maeko glared at the paths fotr a few seconds, as if it could possible tell her which way would get her to Misaki fastest. The look of her face suggested she hadn't quite discarded the possibility of trying to break down the walls.

"This one." She announced apruptly, grabbing Kanaye's blazer sleeve and dragging him (and anyone else in thier group) down one of the paths.

	Kanaye didn't know whether this was a good thing or a bad thing. On one hand, Maeko was touching him. SHE WAS TOUCHING HIM! On the other hand, Maeko is only doing so because she wants to save Misaki. Quite the conundrum... Either way, Kanaye just let himself be dragged along. Didn't have anything better to do. Once the rest of the groups had slipped off down each of the separate paths Tom slipped from his hiding spot. He moved to one of the roads left un-chosen. He looked toward the path that Kozue, Renju and their group had gone down, and took a deep breath. He reminded himself that they didn't need him, and wouldn't really want him, and resolved to continue on his own. He flipped out his knife and looked at the gingerbread wall.

He carved a rather large mark in the gingerbread, as he planned to do to mark his way through the maze.

Aoi had plenty of time before her shadow did anything, and rushing off half cocked wouldn't help anyone. The best plan would be to search each part of the maze ~~together~~, on his own. And if he foudn the right path then he could go back and figure out a way to lead the others out.

Tom knew the other groups were either as capable as he, or more capable to survive Paradise, so he started a brisk jog down his chosen path.

Welcome to this hidden world

As the teams make their way down their chosen paths they notice that the maze seems to take various twists and turns as if trying to mess with their senses. Yet the paths seem to be moving in the same direction.

Upon further inspections the teams will notice that the paths converge upon a small clearing that seems like something out of a fairytale. It's adorable, and yet...standing before them is a massive number of shadows which seem docile enough.

Maybe that's what Misaki is trying to say? Stop being stupid and hang out together?" Kanaye scoffed. Like THAT was going to happen. "Either way, we need to be careful." It was the second time today that Kozue had rounded a corner and stopped in her tracks. The inspiration for this one was … yeah, just a bit worse. That was a lot of Shadows.

Pulling out her phone to get ready for a Media, Kozue dashed forward. "No, we need to get out of here with you guys!" She didn't spare a glance over her shoulder, but she was furiously hoping that she hadn't just done something both stupid and alone.

Tom wiped the blood from his eyes, and pushed himself up on shaking limbs. Tom had thought it'd be wise to retreat, but the shadows had attacked almost immediately.

Tom had thought to attack separate from the others, draw fire, and keep moving to avoid hits. Ishinomori had done what he could to protect his teammates, Oubai got in some hits, and Tachibana had shouted something about energy drinks as she attacked, but in the end the group was overwhelmed.

Now Tom had managed to position himself between the mass of Shadows, and the rest of Team PeelPeelPeel.

The other Persona users were just as badly hurt as he was, but he refused, refused to fall, and leave the others unprotected. He could barely move, but he steeled himself against the next attack.

When Team Cake stepped into the clearing, he looked at them and let out a soft grunt of pain.

"You all... need to get out of here."

One of the large group of shadows broke away first, moving toward Maeko as she walked into the clearing. The walls of the maze were growing upward, finally knitting together at the top. Behind Maeko, her two hand shadows dragged Kanaye, holding him in place in the middle of the incapacitated group.

[Misa-chan is pure and good. You think she even have a place like this? Morons.] She subtitles. [You all hurt my Misa-chan. You all make her cry. But it's okay. I put her in a safe place and she's safe now.]

She turns her attention to the one shadow that dashed to her side for a second, using a Dia spell on it and patting its head. The gingerbread walls begin to crumble, reveling that they were covering a large bird cage.

The shadows slip through the bars of the cage. Maeko disappears, reappearing on the other side.

[Two weeks. I wait two weeks and everyone who's ever hurt her will be gone.]

Kiriko slammed a fist to the ground in frustration. This was all wrong. They were supposed to be impervious to this kind of thing, weren't they? She grit her teeth.

She was pretty sure she could make this Keiichi's fault if she needed to.

There had to be a way out - there just had to. That's how this psycho world had been operating already, right? But now, she was tired... There was no sense in moving right away. A quick look around told her it was unlikely anyone else would be able to, anyway.

"Just let them go, and we can work our way ou--"

Something caught Kiriko's attention and she stopped mid-announcement.

"Something's coming!"
