School Trip, Day One. (Bus Ride, Eating Somewhere and Onsen)
Who: EVERYONE (npcs welcome)
What: Bus Ride, Eating, Onsen, Night 1 at hotel.
Where: ON A BUS
When: Late May
Why: We like trips.

Aomori-sensei was clearly not in the best of moods. He hadn't been for a while. Still, there was an air of excitement about the students who were assembling to get on the buses as they chose thier seat partners and talked. It wasn't every day that they went on a school trip. Very few of them had been paying much attention in the half-day of lessons before. Even Ishino-sensei looked the happiest she'd been since the incident.

She went through the lines of pupils, checking thier permission forms, while Aomori and Banno-sensei herded them into the coaches.

Much as he hated the idea of going on a trip where he'd probably be made to do some group clean-up project, the idea of not having homework and not having to help out his parents far outweighed the cons of the situation. With so many people going, dipping out of helping would be easy enough - though he probably should help people, just to have them keep quiet. Still, though he didn't have many preferences with who he shared a tent with or what the group ended up doing (so long as it wasn't constant work), there was one thing Shin had made sure to do: secure himself a seat in the very back of the bus. Like hell was he about to go who knew how many hours with chattering girls and loud boys without sneaking a cigarette. People would be less likely to bitch if he was in the back and if someone did it'd be easy enough to ditch the cigarette before a teacher reached him.

Of course, he wasn't about to risk getting his carton confiscated, so he was planning on waiting until the bus ride became intolerable. Until then, he'd listen to some music and sleep. Already, he was preparing to do so. His legs stretched out to take up the entire seat and he was already making himself comfortable - his flattened pillow that he always leaned on at home was cushioning himself from the hard interior of the bus' wall.

Hopefully, if he did need to share seats, it'd be with someone he could tolerate for a long period. Like Tanaka.

Maybe he'd just say he was saving the seat, if anyone asked.

Kanaye yawned. He was laying down in his seat, which was near the front. Like hell he was going to share a seat with a guy. If a girl asked, he was fine with it, but he wanted to stretch. He still hasn't fully recovered from the Video Game thing, so he wanted to let his muscles relax for as long as possible. Of course, getting that close to a girl is preferable to not having cramps.

Even more than the idea of being able to draw on the ride to and from the place, what really had Shiori excited was the hot springs. To be able to just sit in it and ~~boil herself into a tasty soup~~ relax sounded so nice - especially with everything that had happened lately, such as the other world and the events that had happened in them. And the things that had happened in the real world, too. It'd be nice to be able to sort her thoughts out instead of shoving them away, as she had been.

Of course, in some distant part of her mind, she had worried about who she would sit next to. Imagine her relief when she saw her favorite senpai sitting by himself immediately upon entering the bus. Nearly scrambling up the steps in her haste to get over to the blond, Shiori paused when she realized he was... bickering? with Oubai-san. And that Satou had his legs stretched out.

"Are you saving that spot, senpai?" she asked, smiling down at him.

Misaki was very excited, after all this was her first big trip away from home basically alone with her friends, with out her parents. She was bouncing on the balls of her feet in line, and got Ishino-sensei to laugh some by asking questions about the likely hood of running into hot springs monster in the baths. She was also glad that Maeko-chan had talked her mother into letting her go. If not Kiriko had promised to smuggle her in, so she had lost weight for that reason.

Rocking on her heels abit she climbed on the bus and looked around wondering where to sit. She moved towards the back hoping to spot someone that would let her sit with them. Opting for an open seat behind Kanaye she took the one near the window and looked outside and bubbled cheerfully, "I can't wait to go! This is so exciting? I wonder what we're going to get to see first. I've never been camping, what's it like? Ooooh, Maybe I can make some sort of curry or stew."

Kanaye smiled at the new arrival. Not only was it a girl, it was his FAVORITE girl. "Oh, yes, yes I am. For you, Shichan!" Kanaye exclaimed, smiling as he moved into a sitting position. "You know, you look lovely today~." Kanaye complimented, laying it on thick.

Kanaye, turning to look at Misaki a few seats back, he smiled. "That sounds lovely, Misachan! You'll have to save some for me and Kei-kun! I just can't wait to taste your cooking." Kanaye frowned slightly. "Actually, I bet Kei-kun already tasted your cooking." Glaring at Keiichi, he finished. "Lucky dog."

Eyes widening for a moment, inner!Shiori fist pumped the air while exclaiming "score!" and doing a little jig. She got to sit by Satou, she got to sit by Satou~ Grinning happily and blushing lightly at the compliment, Shiori sat down next to the third year.

"You aren't looking that bad yourself, senpai!" she replied, positively beaming. This trip was going to be so awesome! Hot springs and Satou and hot springs~ There was no way this trip could go wrong!

Turning when he addressed Aoi, Shiori blinked and nodded, frowning as well.

"Ohh, I've wanted to try more of your food too, Aoi-san!" Shiori exclaimed. "And try some of Keiichi's food... Man, you're so lucky, Aoi-san! I bet he's cooked for you already since you're in the cooking club with him!"

Sulking lightly as she looked over at Keiichi, she couldn't help but remember that he had said he would cook for her one day. Or teach her how, anyway. Was he ever going to..?

Mentally shaking her head, she instead looked down to get her sketchbook out of her bag. She wouldn't start drawing just yet, but it was a comfort to have it out now. And if she needed, it would provide her with a distraction. She was being selfish now, she told herself. He was probably busy with a lot of things.

Like kissing Kozue.

Frowning hard at her sketchbook, she forced the thought away before looking back up with a cheery smile. She wouldn't allow herself to be negative on the bus!

Misaki glanced up at Shiori's comment and shook her head some. "No, not really I tend to cook for him."

Noticing the girl's reaction she quickly tore out a sheet of paper writing in blue pen this time,

Shiori-chan? What's the matter, you seem blue. I know I'll make you a huge feast when we get to the hot springs okay? Misaki ♥

Misaki quickly folded the paper into an origami frog and sent it hopping over the heads of the students that were between her and Shiori. The paper frog landed on Kanaye's head.

	"Oh, you're so sweet Shichan~" Kanaye smirked. Slightly leaning towards her, he blinked. She was a bit...off. "Hmm? Something wrong, Shichan?" he asked, worried. "If anything's wrong, you can just tell me~!" Just as he was about to start his standard consoling speech, he felt a light tap on his head. Looking at the frog, he blinked and turned back. Who...? 	Kanaye nodded and turned back. Undoubtedly, to open it would be against all honor he has as a man! It would be against everything Kanaye ever stood for! Why, it would be an outrage! Blushing when Satou asked if she was okay, she nodded.

"I'm fine!" she quickly assured him, not wanting to cause a big scene over something so little. Especially when Keiichi was right behind her and Satou was next to her; she definitely wasn't going to say anything if they were around.

Looking down when Satou passed her the note, she read it and blushed more. Louder, she repeated herself, "I'm fine. I was trying to remember if I brought the right pens."

Thank goodness her lies always sounded somewhat plausible. Hopefully no one would press for details. Though to make the lie seem as though it were the truth, she dug around a bit in her bag for show.

"I can't wait to get there," she said as she dug through her bag. "It's going to be so much fun, isn't it?"

Kanaye didn't believe her, but he didn't want to cause a scene. So he just nodded and smiled pleasently. "If you insist, Shichan~, but tell me if anything is wrong, k?" he asked, adding just the right amount of worry into his voice. Glad she changed the subject, he smiled and nodded. "It'll be great, Shichan! Onsen are amazing!" he exclaimed, looking into space, daydreaming. Shiori and Toshimi and Misaki, oh my!

It would figure that by the time she finished triple-checking all of her bags and got on the bus, her friends would have all have sat by each other. And of course they wouldn't have been able to save her a seat when there were this many people going. Still, she didn't let it get to her. She could always sit with the younger freshmen and be a good senpai.

The one seat that seemed open was next to a pink-haired girl that was talking to Satou from her class and a brown-haired girl she had seen with Satou before - his girlfriend, perhaps?

"Hey!" Tori greeted the pink-haired girl. "Would you mind if I joined you? I'm a good seat buddy, I promise!"

She grinned cheerfully, waiting for the girl's answer.

"When it's something important, I'll come to you first!" Shiori promised Satou, smiling shyly. Taking her cell phone out, she handed it to Satou. "Let's trade numbers, senpai!"

She blinked before turning to face Aoi.

"Aoi-san, I want your number too! We still gotta make plans to hang out after the trip!" she said, eyes flicking up to the older girl that was asking Aoi if she could sit next to her before she turned back to Satou.

Kanaye could hardly contain his excitement. Shiori was actually asking for his phone number! Nothing romantic yet, but it's a big step. "Why, of course, Shichan~!" he said as he took her phone and handed his phone to Shiori. Looking at the phone, he just smiled happily as he entered his number. YAY~! he said before giving the phone back. Looking at the girl talking to Misaki, he smiled. "Tori-chan! Good to see you!"

Fumbling with Aoi's phone before finally catching it, Shiori pressed a few buttons before eventually getting to the add-in part - but not after having to shut the phone a couple of times to get back to the main menu. She really was useless with technology. Adding her number into Aoi's phone, Shiori kept it in her lap as she took Satou's and entered herself into his phone as well. Adding a ♥ to the end of her name, she blushed lightly as she handed it back to him and accepted her own. Looking to who Satou had greeted, Shiori turned and saw it was the girl that had asked Aoi if she could sit down next to her. Shiori didn't recognize her, but she did have a name at least.

"Tori-san?" Shiori asked, unsure of how old the girl was. Holding the cell phone out, she continued, "Can you give this to Aoi-san please?"

Flattening down her skirt as she sat, Tori dropped her bag onto the floor before reclining back against the seat. Glad that the freshman seemed nice enough, Tori smiled.

"I'm Tachibana Tori, but just call me Tori! I'm a third year," she introduced herself. Looking over when Satou greeted her, she turned back to Aoi and added quickly, "He and I are actually in the same class." She lowered her voice to whisper jokingly, "He's really not as cool as he pretends to be. But he's pretty funny, isn't he?"

As the brown-haired girl asked her to hand Aoi's phone back to her, Tori took the offered phone and handed it to Aoi. Looking back over to Satou, Tori rose a hand and gave a cheery wave.

"Kanaye-kun!" she exclaimed. "It's good to see you too!" Nodding to the girl, she asked him, "And whose this? Your girl~friend~?"

She was teasing, of course, but still slightly curious. Had the player of the class - neigh, the school - finally settled down?

Nodding slightly to Shiori as she gave him his phone, he turned to Tori and smirked. "Well wouldn't YOU like to know, Tori-chan? Jealous?" he asked, grabbing Shiori suddenly and dragging her close to him. Where's the fun in life if you don't take some gambles? It may not be the wisest choice of action, but he doubted Shiori would care. She was the one who put ♥ after her name, after all. She was one to talk if she complained.
