School Trip, Day One. (Bus Ride, Eating Somewhere and Onsen)
Who: EVERYONE (npcs welcome)
What: Bus Ride, Eating, Onsen, Night 1 at hotel.
Where: ON A BUS
When: Late May
Why: We like trips.

Aomori-sensei was clearly not in the best of moods. He hadn't been for a while. Still, there was an air of excitement about the students who were assembling to get on the buses as they chose thier seat partners and talked. It wasn't every day that they went on a school trip. Very few of them had been paying much attention in the half-day of lessons before. Even Ishino-sensei looked the happiest she'd been since the incident.

She went through the lines of pupils, checking thier permission forms, while Aomori and Banno-sensei herded them into the coaches.

It would figure that by the time she finished triple-checking all of her bags and got on the bus, her friends would have all have sat by each other. And of course they wouldn't have been able to save her a seat when there were this many people going. Still, she didn't let it get to her. She could always sit with the younger freshmen and be a good senpai.

The one seat that seemed open was next to a pink-haired girl that was talking to Satou from her class and a brown-haired girl she had seen with Satou before - his girlfriend, perhaps?

"Hey!" Tori greeted the pink-haired girl. "Would you mind if I joined you? I'm a good seat buddy, I promise!"

She grinned cheerfully, waiting for the girl's answer.

"When it's something important, I'll come to you first!" Shiori promised Satou, smiling shyly. Taking her cell phone out, she handed it to Satou. "Let's trade numbers, senpai!"

She blinked before turning to face Aoi.

"Aoi-san, I want your number too! We still gotta make plans to hang out after the trip!" she said, eyes flicking up to the older girl that was asking Aoi if she could sit next to her before she turned back to Satou.

Kanaye could hardly contain his excitement. Shiori was actually asking for his phone number! Nothing romantic yet, but it's a big step. "Why, of course, Shichan~!" he said as he took her phone and handed his phone to Shiori. Looking at the phone, he just smiled happily as he entered his number. YAY~! he said before giving the phone back. Looking at the girl talking to Misaki, he smiled. "Tori-chan! Good to see you!"

Fumbling with Aoi's phone before finally catching it, Shiori pressed a few buttons before eventually getting to the add-in part - but not after having to shut the phone a couple of times to get back to the main menu. She really was useless with technology. Adding her number into Aoi's phone, Shiori kept it in her lap as she took Satou's and entered herself into his phone as well. Adding a ♥ to the end of her name, she blushed lightly as she handed it back to him and accepted her own. Looking to who Satou had greeted, Shiori turned and saw it was the girl that had asked Aoi if she could sit down next to her. Shiori didn't recognize her, but she did have a name at least.

"Tori-san?" Shiori asked, unsure of how old the girl was. Holding the cell phone out, she continued, "Can you give this to Aoi-san please?"

Flattening down her skirt as she sat, Tori dropped her bag onto the floor before reclining back against the seat. Glad that the freshman seemed nice enough, Tori smiled.

"I'm Tachibana Tori, but just call me Tori! I'm a third year," she introduced herself. Looking over when Satou greeted her, she turned back to Aoi and added quickly, "He and I are actually in the same class." She lowered her voice to whisper jokingly, "He's really not as cool as he pretends to be. But he's pretty funny, isn't he?"

As the brown-haired girl asked her to hand Aoi's phone back to her, Tori took the offered phone and handed it to Aoi. Looking back over to Satou, Tori rose a hand and gave a cheery wave.

"Kanaye-kun!" she exclaimed. "It's good to see you too!" Nodding to the girl, she asked him, "And whose this? Your girl~friend~?"

She was teasing, of course, but still slightly curious. Had the player of the class - neigh, the school - finally settled down?

Nodding slightly to Shiori as she gave him his phone, he turned to Tori and smirked. "Well wouldn't YOU like to know, Tori-chan? Jealous?" he asked, grabbing Shiori suddenly and dragging her close to him. Where's the fun in life if you don't take some gambles? It may not be the wisest choice of action, but he doubted Shiori would care. She was the one who put ♥ after her name, after all. She was one to talk if she complained.

Once again, Shiori blushed, though this time at Tori instead of at Satou. Why would she even imply such a thing..? Satou was her friend and that was it! How could she think it was anything but that?

Her confusion dissipating as Satou drew her closer, Shiori giggled and wrapped an arm around Satou. Obviously she didn't care all that much - it was just joking around, after all. If she got embarrassed from that, she'd hate to think of how embarrassed she'd get when it actually meant something.

"I'm Wakanata Shiori," she said, introducing herself. "Satou-senpai and I are just friends."

Of course Tori didn't believe her classmate, but she wouldn't outright declare it. Instead, she'd keep teasing him about it; that sounded like the funner alternative to her.

"Aw, cute~" Tori cooed at their PDA. To Shiori, she introduced herself as well.

Twisting in the seat to look around, she commented, "Jeez, everyone's so spread out. I didn't know the different years interacted with each other so much. I don't even see any of the others from our class."

"Yeah, we're just friends. Close friends, but still just friends." Kanaye said, smiling. If she was fine with this when they were just friends, Kanaye wanted to see what she was fine with doing with her eventual lover. Cause honestly, he was still surprised she was single.

Smirking at Tori, he commented "Not really. Look at our class. There's me, a ridiculous flirt, Gendou, who's about to get his ass kicked, Tanaka, who seems to think he's older then all of us, and Sagaki. What is his problem, anyway?" he asked, frowning. "Is he trying to get killed?"

Turning to look for the people that Kanaye pointed out, Tori found each of them for a moment. Surprised that Gendou would sit next to Shirai - Tori had seen people that had been injured by him, and instantly felt worried for her classmate - she couldn't find Sagaki. Which was a good thing; though he seemed to have good intentions, he came off as a little... off.

"Where do you see Sagaki?" she asked, finally turning back to Kanaye. "He's a really weird guy though. I heard he got in a fight with a couple of guys from our class-"

She paused to address Aoi and Wakanata. "You two should be careful around him! Don't be rude if he talks to you, but be wary. Stranger danger and all that~"

	Kanaye shook his head at Tori's question. "I don't. Good thing to. Creepy bastard. We found him bloodied up. Shiori reccomened glass cleaner and then he got all creepy on us. Well, creepier then usual. Asshole, never liked him" he said flippantly. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"He didn't seem that bad when I talked to him last time, though Sagaki-san seems to have issues about people getting close to him. It's kind of sad, I wonder why that is..." Misaki said quietly and watched Kanaye flirting with Shiori. She inwardly sighed, if Keiichi-sempai was ever going to go out with her he was going to have to stop being so shy with her, or else Satou-sempai would take Shiori-chan away from him, and she didn't want to see her mentor being hurt. "I don't think he's that bad, he's just...not sure how to handle people."

She raised her eyebrows some, "Tori-sempai, um....You do know that Shiori-chan is sort of going out with Keiichi-sempai right?"

Surprised that Tori had addressed her and Aoi-chan instead of talking to Satou, Shiori nodded in agreement to what Satou said. He did seem really rude, but it still reminded Shiori more of her younger brother being cranky than of him being a jerk because of his personality.

And then she blushed at what Aoi-chan said and as she turned she let go of Satou's arm to protest.

"We are not!" she whined. "We're just friends! I haven't even hung out with him that much, Aoi-chan!"

And besides, if they were dating then Keiichi wouldn't have kissed Kondo. Or had enjoyed it as much as he obviously did. And Shiori wouldn't have drawn it, and if she had she would have burned it or ripped it apart by now in a jealous rage. Because if they were dating, Keiichi would have apologized for it right away.. right?

But they weren't dating, and all of the things that Shiori and Keiichi hadn't done remained like that.

Wrinkling her nose at the mention of Sagaki having blood on him, Tori felt torn. Though she did pity him for being the new guy - and a foreigner to boot - she couldn't help but feel that he deserved it. It wasn't that hard fitting in, was it? And yet he seemed to do everything he could to not get along with people.

Listening to Aoi, Tori's eyes widened. "Oh, you've talked to him already? Maybe he's just really shy? Still, that doesn't excuse him for being so rude to people. And getting into fights is pretty inexcusable too. You can always walk away from a fight."

She continued to frown before Aoi pointed out that Wakanata was dating Keiichi and Wakanata's protest. Smirking, she turned.

"What's this? A love triangle?" she teased. "Whose this Keiichi kid then, if he's her boyfriend?"

Kanaye was slightly saddened by the lack of a Shiori on his arm, but he had more pressing matters to attend to. Sighing, he turned to Tori. "No, Tori-chan. I am not going out with Shiori, nor is Keiichi Ito, 2nd year, head of the cooking club, only sane man. I'm as surprised as you are that she doesn't have a boyfriend, but still." Sitting up straight, he nodded to Shiori. "Unless you do and aren't telling me."

"Bu...But Shiori-chan! We ran into him when we were shopping and he was really sad that he didn't get to come with you..." Misaki paused and counted on her fingers, "And then there was the fact that he offered to make you lunch, and the only other person he did that for was Kiriko-chan, and that's only because she doesn't know how to cook fish. Keiichi-sempai is one of the nicest guys in the school, and a great cook, and he went out for you to get your pens, and you were saying how great they were on your journal. And I know he probably though that outfit I gave you looked cute! Not to mention the fact that you're like the only girl that he's ever invited out for noodles...so...wouldn't you say that's going pretty close to being more then just friends Satou-sempai?"

Misaki just knew that Shiori chan had to be going out with Keiichi-sempai. She liked to eat his cooking, not to mention she was cute and sweet, and a going to become something important someday. She would be great for Keiichi...

Shiori stared at Aoi with wide, unbelieving eyes. One of them was obviously disillusioned about the situation. Shiori had thought Keiichi was only doing that because he was, as Aoi said, a really nice guy. Not because he liked her. Oblivious to the fact that the subject of their conversation was sitting right behind her, Shiori turned more to face Aoi.

"He was probably only sad because he didn't get to hang out with either you or the both of us - not just me. And he wanted to get stuff to make posters for the cooking club, and if he was thinking the outfit was cute it was because you made it, Aoi-chan! He only invited me to noodles because I was there, too!" Shiori exclaimed, hands clenching around the edge of her sketchbook. "And if he really did like me, wouldn't he have looked over to see how I took him kissing Kondo-san!? I was watching, Aoi-chan, and he didn't look over! Not once!"

She blushed more at her outburst, adding quietly, "We're just friends. That's all we're going to be" before turning back in her seat. She wasn't even sure why she was so upset about that stupid kiss. They needed to do it to get further in the dungeon, and yet...

She stared down at the book, surprised at how white her knuckles had become from clenching the edge so hard.

"But Shiori-chan...that's just silly. He could hang out with me any time during cooking club. It's pretty clear that you're the one he likes! And you're a great artist, if it was just poster stuff, why not ask me to come with him then? He asked you, Shiori, not me, doesn't that say something?" Misaki shot back, now she was more sure then ever Shiori chan had to like Keiichi-sempai. She had to get them together...

"Well maybe that's because he was too embaressed to look over. Maybe because he was trying to concentrate on thinking about you when she kissed him, rather then looking at you and worrying that you were upset by it," Misaki said and then pulled out a bottle of water. "And you Kozue-chan has nothing on you Shiori-chan....you're more Sempai's type anyway."

Pausing she smiled, "Oh Satou-sempai, here! You said you wanted the water I made last time I was at soccer...catch!"

Misaki leaned over Tori and threw the water bottle towards, Kanaye. No one could be certain if she had not tightened the cap, or had purposely loosened it, but the water flew over to Kanaye, and the cap slipped off just as it was over Keiichi, pouring water down him as it sailed at the older third year.

All he wanted to do was sleep. Thus far, the bus shenanigans had gone unnoticed by the slumbering second year in his desire to get shut eye.

That was ruined by an arcing torrent of water that splashed over him, thankfully missing poor Kou in the process. Keiichi came up sputtering, no doubt now wide awake, looking in front of him and then to the side, trying to figure out where the water had come from. "What the?" he groaned, sighing. "I'm soaking wet..."

Keiichi's hair was matted to his forehead, water dripping down his face and neck. More annoyingly, his uniform was also wet, clinging to his skin uncomfortably.

Kanaye wasn't really paying attention. He had been around these conversations before, and the words being said almost never changed, so he just ignored them. People should be allowed to choose to go after anyone they want, so people should stop trying to convince people to go out with people that are not themselves. Only paying attention when Misaki called his name, he got ready for his usual answer ("Yes, ?"), but when Misaki threw the bottle and it's contents landed on Keiichi, he knew something was up. He hadn't exactly been in this position before, but it was similar to things he had seen. Now, this WAS Misaki, so it might have been an accident, but it landed on Keiichi, and he didn't remember asking for water...
"Uh, Misachan? Mind NOT throwing open water bottles at me? Oh, and stop trying to get Shiori and Keiichi together; If they want to get together they can do that themselves."

Frowning as Aoi listed all the reasons why Shiori was wrong, Shiori didn't defend herself again. She wasn't about to now that Keiichi - thanks to Aoi - was awake. Even if Aoi did have good intentions and did want them to get together, she was wrong about it. Kondo was way better a match for Keiichi than Shiori was, and Keiichi obviously liked her more.

Not wanting to talk about it anymore, Shiori resolutely changed the subject away from the now-awake Keiichi and instead beamed at Satou.

"Anyway, do you know how long the ride is going to be, senpai?" she asked, deciding to ignore the last thing he had told Aoi. "I, um, wasn't really paying attention to the details."

As usual when it came to her. Visually, she was exceptionally observant, but when it came to listening she was as forgetful as a goldfish. It was something she planned on working on one day.

Misaki paused and looked down, the pulled up her legs in a quiet, "Sorry Sempai.." This was how it always went, she tried hard to make friends, make people happy, but instead only wound up driving them away. She was sure that soon enough the laughter and mocking would start and spread all through the school. No matter what she did she never could do anything right, at least in Misaki's mind anyway.

She'd get away from it, maybe get lost in the town. She'd keep to herself, mostly, and stay with her friends, the ones she had in her head. Looking out the window she wondered if there was any chance at getting off the bus now? Maybe they weren't to far from home, she could walk back. A sick feeling was eruptingn in her stomache and she just wanted to curl up into a ball and cry.

Kanaye frowned. The way Misaki had looked, it made him feel like he had kicked a puppy. A cute, adorable, loving, go up to you and give you your slippers and a newspaper puppy. He felt like Viper Vizier or something. "Uh...sorry if I was being frank to you, Misachan..." He got that far before he gave up and Shiori interrupted him.

He was actually quite surprised at Shiori for smiling like she did, but then again, Keiichi WAS awake, so he could understand where she was coming from. "I have no idea myself, Shichan." he started, trying to smile. "I was too busy...uh..." Sheesh, what was up with him? He was so out of it that he felt sick. "I was too busy trying to find you!" Kanaye tried, half-smiling. Random flattery was always good.
