Tuesday, through the muggle post, a package addressed to Lily Evans is delivered. Inside there is a box made of willow, with rosewood inlay in the shape of a lily. Inside the box is a hand carved doe made out of sliver sheen obsidian.

There is no return address or card.

Summary: Severus wants to try and make things right. Again.

Even after agreeing to meet him, Lily Evans still couldn't fathom why Severus Snape would attempt to contact her after all this time so he could apologise. While there were days she missed having her childhood friend, it was hard to forgive him for what he'd done. It wasn't about the name he had called her fifth year; she had been called far worse before and Lily wasn't the type of person to be that petty about something. Instead, it was the choices he made. He chose to befriend those Slytherin Death Eaters -- or whatever name they happened to call their ridiculous group -- over her.

It was his decision. She had tried to persuade him from befriending them, but he had done so anyway, and finally picked a side. That's why they were no longer friends. How could they be when those alleged friends of his would love to see her brought down - both figuratively and metaphorically.

Despite her reservations about meeting him, she agreed to it nonetheless and found herself sitting in the Library not even twenty four hours after the conversation, waiting on him.
