So Alison and I finally finished the Stag Party thread. It was based on the prequel JKR wrote for a charity auction. Which I feel sure every one here is familiar with. If you aren't, click it and read it first. Then watch how brilliantly Alison and I steal her work!

Who: James, Sirius, Remus, Peter, Harry, Lucius, Amycus, Antonin, and a couple of muggle cops.
What: James' Stag Party
When: The night before Lily and James got married.
Where: A fancy restaurant, London streets, an alley.

Summary: After the wedding, everyone assembles for the reception. There's food, beverages, cake, music, and everyone will party like it's 1980.
Status: In Progress

By the time Lily and James arrived at the reception, most of their guests were already assembled and helping themselves to the food both her mother and James's mother graciously prepared. Music was quietly echoing around the room, though Lily was unable to make out the words of the song over the chatter from everyone in attendance. Her head felt heavy and her eyes stung from both holding back the tears throughout the ceremony and finally letting them go when her mother grabbed her around the neck shortly after she was newly named Mrs. Potter. Everything had flown by in such a whirlwind and she had to keep pinching herself because she could barely believe it was true.

She was a married woman. Just thinking about it made her head heavy. Her hand tightened around James's, whose hand she had only relinquished a few times since they left the Registry. But despite being overwhelmed, she was obliviously happy and couldn't keep from smiling even if she wanted to. Even while she ate and shared her first dance with James, the smile never disappeared. When they cut the cake and James messed ruined her makeup by smearing the cake across her mouth and cheeks, she laughed throughout her false indignation. She also got him back, too. And then, after the cake was eaten, the bouquet and the garter tossed, and more dancing...she was still obliviously happy.

WHERE: muggle registry office in Weybridge, Surrey (where people tend to get married over here if not in church)

The ceremony was very simplistic. It took place in the Registry Office. All those who answered their invitations were in attendance, both wizard and muggle, and paid witness to the event. Mary Evans, representing both herself and her late husband, "gave" Lily away. Dorcas was the Maid of Honour and Sirius was the Best Man. The ceremony was traditional. The standard words were read, the typical vows were recited (to have an to hold, for richer or poorer...and so on and so forth), and ended with both Lily and James being named husband and wife. It was sealed with a kiss amidst a round of applause before Lily and James led everyone out of there and instructed them to head off to the reception!

Summary: A family get together Lily and James sit Harry down and ask him about his "seer abilities."

Lily wasn't exactly what to anticipate as she readied herself to Apparate over to James'. Learning that Harry Planter was a Seer was both highly impressive and cool. She had a lot of questions, of course, but she also wanted to see Harry's inner-eye at work when she and James questioned him about Slughorn and what he may have known regarding the Death Eaters' interest in him. She wasn't one-hundred percent sure that Harry would be able to give them anything sound or concrete, but if he did...well, that could potentially help them and their fight against those Death Eaters.

Finally, she checked that she had the biscuits securely in hand. Then, taking a deep breath and concentrating her senses on James' house, Lily spun on her heel with a resounding pop! Before the urge to breathe even suffocated her, she landed, completely steady, just outside of the wards surrounding James' house. Keeping her wand out, she crossed their barriers and made the short trek to his door, knocking happily on it with the back of the hand that still held her wand.

Who: Lily, James, and Severus (and with Petunia and Vernon in the background, most likely) - oh my.
When: The day Lily wrote about having a headache in her journal.

Summary: Lily mistakenly gave both James and Severus permission to come over at about the same time so they could take care of two very important problems: her headache and her brother-in-law.

Summary: Since her mother is staying with her sister, Lily is a little unnerved at staying alone with all the news in the papers and invites James over to stay the night. Goodness only knows what will happen.
