Voldemort smiled, and waited.

He had released the surprise location just half an hour before. Almost every Death Eater in the ranks was currently apparating to a major muggle landmark for a rampage of death and destruction. The Dark Lord thought it quite likely that Aurors would be waiting for them. Nevertheless, he was smiling. The trap was set - but not for the Ministry. For the damn sneak. The Death Eaters were apparating to a major muggle landmark - but not each to the same muggle landmark. Once he knew where the Aurors had been waiting, he would have the list of suspects narrowed down to two (the number of Death Eaters assigned to each location).
