Just a thought- maybe we are looking at this wrong. She had the baby as a pony. Are there any illnesses common in horses following a birth? Or something that would be dormant in a horse, but badly affect a human? Maybe we should be looking at equestrian medicine.

	I think the midwife ruled it out, but I will check her file. It is more common in livestock, I believe. Good shout. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Common in livestock, yes, but not always obvious in equine. And if she gave birth as a horse and when reverted to human on coming back to the island... it could be harder to locate. If that's the case. Or maybe a rapture or tear or bruising? I can't really be sure without seeing her myself. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Low blood pressure, skin discoloration and cyanosis, problems with blood clotting and seizure is another possible one. She's imminent for a cardiac arrest if we can't figure out what's wrong. I thought it was preeclampsia but she's not responding to treatment. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Sorry to question a man of your obvious experience, Doctor Bruce but - what's the magnesium sulfate drip rate up to at this point? 	No, it was completely natural as far as I'm aware. How she managed it is beyond me. There is no infection, no fever, barely any outwardly visible symptoms. It's all internal. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
