I could really use a drink or like fifty. Or some really wicked lovemaking till the sun comes up.

Now, I can drink any man under the table. Or male, if you aren't a human. But only one can slip between my sheets. And I can promise it isn't you. Unless you share two initials with my son.

Oh sweetheart, I'm going to have fun with you. Er in the good clean American way of course.

I'll even drink Tequila while you stick to whiskey.

I don't think I can honestly do that to you.

I can't get drunk, physical impossibility. By the time I drink enough to get anywhere beyond slightly 'warm' I've metabolized most of what I've already had.

Yeah, me too. It kind of sucks.

Though I do get a buzz if I drink Absinthe fast enough. Which is really hard to do, because of the sugar and the water thing.

I've never tried, whiskey was the strongest I could find when I was trying hard enough to feel it.

Whiskey is the easiest drink you can find, doesn't matter the time or the place.

I could try not to blow someplace up and make moonshine?

Believe me when I say homemade booze is not all it's cracked up to be.

Oh I believe you, sugar. I've heard horror stories of people going blind.

Those were the rumors, but from my experience, it was usually just terrible.

And if you can't really get drunk or tipsy... Then there's little point to drinking something that tastes bad.

Exactly. One of the few lessons learned during prohibition that's actually come to use.

I'm not that old, I'm afraid. I would have liked to have been alive during that time though! The music, the dancing, the clothes.

The time had some advantages and some disadvantages. But I enjoyed it either way.

I bet people were nicer, and had better manners. If you're anything to go by.

That, I will absolutely say is true. It still amazes me sometimes, the way people act since I've woken up here.

I've lived in this age and they blow me away sometimes. And I can be pretty bitchy when I want to be. Makes me want to grab them by the shoulders and give a little shake and ask : What the hell is wrong with you?

But then I was raised in the south.

I can admit I've been close to doing the same thing myself many times. Mostly to people I don't even know.

Feel free sugar! I'll stand by and tell them they've just had the sense shook into them by a national hero.

If I did that every time I thought someone was being rude lately I think I'd never be able to do anything else.

You might have to shake me eventually. I tend to get bitchy when people piss me off.

There's a big difference in getting upset when someone bothers you than being outright rude. Even I've done the former quite a few times.

I get downright mean though. I wish I could feel bad for it, sometimes. But I usually don't. It's like once I reach this threshold... I don't care anymore. I don't take it out on other people.

Sorry, I'm not meaning to treat you like a head shrinker. I would have never thought you'd be so easy to talk to. And now I feel a little bad for not having your poster hanging over my bed at Xavier's.

Well, anyone who treats anyone badly enough to get them mad probably deserves it anyway.

It's alright, I don't mind talking to people. I..get that a lot actually. I think being dead for so long made me more of a symbol than a person and it's easy to fall in to that. I uh...I kind of prefer that you didn't, seeing how many things they've put my face on is a little overwhelming.

I've recently found out that being called cruel, and heartless is a serious hot button for me.

I like talking to you.

Oh yeah, I know about that, but the Avengers, when I come from, were marketed almost as much as the 'Captain America' image. I had a poster of Tony, Thor and Bruce above my bed. But buying one of you seemed wrong in some way. Like I was buying a poster of the headmaster and putting it up to ogle. And I would get some black mark on something important.

You don't sem to be either of those.

That was just starting in the time I come from. The official things at least, the improvised t-shirts and things started almost as soon as the battle ended. Don't let Tony know that, he'd never let you live it down. That idea still always...amuses me I guess. I feel like most would be amazed at the way I was on those USO tours or while I was alone with the Commandos, history seems to have picked apart the highlights reel a bit.

I try not to be. Either of them.

When I was seventeen, eighteen, you could walk into a 'dime store' and get the posters.

To late, I kinda had a fangirl moment when he first got here.

Lord, the rumors in the mutant community alone would probably boggle your mind. There's one that says you and Wolverine were made before the Civil War. And you fought together in it. And you're why the Yankees won. Adamantium wasn't even a pipe dream before World War I or was it II?
