Okay, please please PLEASE, someone tell me I'm not hearing things. That I haven't actually had my mental break. Can anyone else actually hear a very lovely Louisiana Bayou accent over the CB?

Oh, don't I know it, darling... Why there was this ONE Auror I met whilst we were working on a rougaroux case, my partner Lestrange and I... I mean, the way he talked about the Devastation that beast caused in "N'Orleens!" was SO UTTERLY CHARMING, I probably would have jumped his bones, were it not for my boyfriend (of the time, at any rate!) Bozo...!

Common law husband? Isn't that when you... like, live so damned long with ONE MAN that you're considered in the eyes of the Law to be married, even if you never took vows to the effect? I mean, maybe... ~~Maybe Bozo will show up with all these other "long gone" husbands and wives...!~~ I mean... nah, it's probably too much to hope for...!

Indeed, and I do like the idea of that sort of... simplicity! I mean, if only I HAD remained bound to ONE MAN forever... then Rory wouldn't have RETURNED to his People just because he FAILED as a Wizard...! (I mean, he didn't even REALLY "fail"! He just... didn't get the sort of marks he needed to become a HEALER as he wanted to...!)

Heh! I suppose there ARE quite a few people around here, aren't there, madame? I mean only... well... I'm lonely; I crave a special someone of my own... ~~And none of them are here...!~~

Although... I suppose my Loneliness here is a blessing in disguise, rather... Because really, if any of my true-loves showed up here, now, I'd have to explain... so many scars on my body, now, from all the men who "made love" to me, without actually - y' know, LOVING me...!

I do not understand the way your world works, I fear.

But I do know that you do not need a man to be happy, and that you shall never be happy with a man unless you are first happy with yourself. There is so much more to life than that. There is such joy in the world, so much love that has nothing to do with romance. And surely there is much of this here that you can find?

Kind of, common law works differently in different parts of my world, but in the states he and I were from, we simply pledged ourselves to each other. Not so much with words, but with the act of wearing a symbol that we weren't available. Rings. They didn't really match. But that didn't matter.

But if you don't, sex is just sex. The act doesn't bind you to anyone.

...Er... sorry, but I'm not sure if you'd agree to help me exact revenge, after all, given that I was... sort of tacitly giving them permission to HURT me! I mean, they were DEATH EATERS, Dark wizards, and I was an AUROR, a Dark Wizard catcher... who failed to catch these Dark Wizards before they took over our Ministry...! You can only begin to imagine how many ghoulish, gruesome games they just had to play with me...! I mean, Bellatrix Lestrange once hired me of an evening, solely to show her TWO YEAR OLD NEPHEW just HOW the Cruciatus Curse affected the body - particularly the FEMALE AUROR body...! Honestly, I wish she'd just stuffed a ~~machete~~ steak knife into my VAGINA and gotten THAT pain over with quickly...!
