Okay, please please PLEASE, someone tell me I'm not hearing things. That I haven't actually had my mental break. Can anyone else actually hear a very lovely Louisiana Bayou accent over the CB?

Kind of, common law works differently in different parts of my world, but in the states he and I were from, we simply pledged ourselves to each other. Not so much with words, but with the act of wearing a symbol that we weren't available. Rings. They didn't really match. But that didn't matter.

But if you don't, sex is just sex. The act doesn't bind you to anyone.

Ah. It does in my world.

To us, the act of love is no different than marriage.

There are some cultures in my world that believe that too. I'm just not part of one.
