	Oh yes. By the time I was a lad the only people in service were the ones who volunteered. Well, we were paid, but it was optional. And that's very admirable! 	That's very interesting. I'm amazed they managed to get enough manpower that way, but I suppose it was still considered something of a honor? That's really not necessary, but I appreciate the thought. I'm sorry to hear that. I somehow managed to come home with all of my limbs, not everyone was so fortunate. It is rather tricky, yes.
