It is said that this is where one might introduce themselves, and upon encouragement from Sir Artorias, I have decided to partake in this tradition. So greetings to you, I am the Lord's Blade Ciaran, and Knight of Gwyn, newly arrived from Oolacile. I am grateful to be here amongst the stars, and look forward to making your acquaintances in person.

	That could certainly be arranged, I am certain that between the two of us we might have a few entertaining tales of our home. As far as I have been able to ascertain, this station seems to provide everything one might need. Thank you for the offer. That is very kind. I cannot speak for my family, you would need to ask them and I am sure they would appreciate it. As for me, I spent most of my day training in magic and combat. Additionally, I look after and train animals. Besides that, I train some people in the art of flying space crafts. Would anything interest you?

	That symbol you used, the one that looks like a smiling face, what is that? Magic and combat are no strangers to me but I am always eager to add to my knowledge. 	Oh, I forgot. It's exactly that. It is called a smiley. It symbolises a smiling face. These are used to accompany text to compensate for the lack of facial expressions. I would love to compare our combat strategies and magic. If you ever want to learn how to pilot a spacecraft, I will be happy to teach you. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

That is an important one. Sometimes people just use smiling faces to show they are not being sarcastic. I've seen people use winking icons: ;-) or sticking out your tongue :-P to convey irony and humour. Something more specific to sarcasm is an upside down smiley. Easier to do on the phones though. It looks like this: 🙃 If you want to get that, you need to type in &# followed by 128579;. I cannot spell it out together because it will automatically convert to the smiley.

Don't worry about it. We try to help the ones who arrive here. A friendly face eases the shock a little.
