Greetings to whomever finds this note,

I have been informed that we are on a space station. I, much like Jacob Frye, have only arrived here recently. We have been here long enough to settle down at least, and thanks to Sophia, have been given a great deal of information about our new home.

I do however have an inquiry I wish to share. From what I have observed, this space station is like an island, floating in a sea of stars. There are worlds out there beyond those stars and there are means to travel to them in the form of space ships. I wish to learn how to sail one of these ships. Might there be someone willing to teach me? I would ask you to name your price, of course.

Yours,

Captain Edward Kenway.

I'm not most pirates. Anne Bonny served as my quartermaster.

Did she? Did she dress as a man on your ship?

She did wear a mans clothes but she made them her own. She was a strong lass.

I'm not going to lie, I envied her. Being able to sail the sea, freely? Or mostly so.

I'll share a few tales about her with you some time.

I'd like that, but I can't promise I wouldn't be picturing her... well... I can't tell too much, can I?

Sometimes what is unsaid can be left to the imagination.

I'm alright with you imagining. Or you could change who I'm picturing.

You are forward indeed, Brynhild.

I've been told... It's not off putting is it?

Er, I just realized that last message may have come off bolder than I had intended. You could always tell me stories of your exploits is what I was hinting toward.

And I will gladly share those tales with you some time soon.

I smell a catch. What would I have to do to hear one of your stories?

Share a tale of your own.

I could do that. I have a lot of tales. But... it would mean telling a secret too.

Why would you have to tell me a secret?

Some are very old tales, some not so old. And it's a secret that most know, save my daughters by blood.

I still don't understand why you would have to share your secret.

Well I don't have to, I suppose. But I would like to be honest?

You're telling me that you don't know when someone's lying to you and when they're telling the truth? I would find that hard to believe, Captain.

Perhaps if we were stood face to face, I would.

Yes, in text, whether it this or in a letter, it's always hard to read tone. And sarcasm. And lies.

But I'll tell you I haven't lied to you yet, this is simply something I wanted to hold off on doing until you and Jacob had been here a little while, and more used to how things are.
